... that Leliana, Zevran, Isabella, Nathaniel, Anders, etc were ALL in the same city at the same time and the Warden WASN'T there. *LOL* Just no way in hell. Too many other guests from that party present for him to be absent. I think perhaps I forsee DLC with the warden playable in a Kirkwall setting. I think some underground goings on what Hawke is unaware of during the main story.
Okay, there is NO WAY....

Quite a few situations offer a good reason. Esp if your Warden is king/queen.

Suspension of disbelief, it's like in ME where you have an entire galaxy to explore and you find the same people you met in the middle of no where.

Nothing wrong with a little fanservice.

If you see the ending, you'll understand that someone is moving behind the scenes. A single figure has been instrumental in influencing the course of history in the past 10 years, all per her agenda. Mwahaha.
The Warden and Hawke are both missing, no coincidences.

lol It's one thing to run into a few that you know here or there, but all of them clumped up in the same place... makes those missing notable in absence.

I think since both Hawke and your Grey Warden accomplished thier respective impossible feats, that "secret character" Is using them for his/her/its own selfish needs or to complete an impossible task that is larger than the archdemon, qunair invasion, or religious fanatics with raw power.
If Bioware is smart, that would be where their headed with this. Unless they plan on introducing a third set of characters to add to the collection of wardens and champions, which would be the wrong move in my opinion.
The only thing they should keep --granted that they go in that direction--- is the option to make/use your own warden or stay with your Hawke.

I don't know. I like the idea that each game will be a new champion. I personally would love to see Dragon Age III set in the Tevinter Imperium including Scheron and maybe Orlais. Be interesting if they brought back the backgrounds from the first game as well.
