Hi all,

so when I first loaded the demo I had the unusable frame rate and black triangles/missing texture type dx11 issues - but these vanished after I restarted the demo. I didn't do anything to fix it - I just restarted the game.

Now that I've purchased the full game - I have exactly the same issues that I had with the demo on the first run - but it's persistent. If I use DX11 the game is unplayable, terrible frame rate, and half the terrain becomes just black triangles at certain angles as I pan the camera.

So I'm in the strange situation of having two installations of effectively the same code running side by side on the same machine which are behaving very differently.

Bioware devs - perhaps my case might be useful to help track down what's wrong?

I have tried diff-ing the two folders (my fave diff tool is beyond compare) - I thought maybe something screwed up with the directx redistributable install on the full game - the files seem to be same - although spread over differnt folders.

Update - although I had the same issues the first time I ran the demo - if I turn off "very high" and use DX11 "high"  in the full game instead  it's fine.  And "very high" is disabled on the demo - so theres a difference there - but that doesn't explain how the demo had exactly the same issues the first time I ran it....

oh and please don't ask if I have latest drivers - of course I do. card is NVidia GTX 470, drvrs 266.58

Kevin.

I can't say why your getting worse in the demo then in the real game but it might get better if you update your drivers, it have worked for a few. Otherwise, I can't help you. Besides, which gpu do you use? does it support DX11 features?
