In the Fade there are barrels you can move around. Everytime I move them I just summon some demons but it seems there is a better result that could happen. Is there somewhere in there that gives a hint to the answer or anything? I would hate to miss out on some great weapon.

Sorry if this hasd been asked before but if there is a search button I can not find it.

the book you just have to click on a few times

the 1st set of barrels (large and small) you have to get the little barrels on top and the 2nd set (the red barrels) you have to do as shown. Stack them 2 wide and 2 high.

The second set interrupted me midway by having a bunch of demons attack right as I was aligning the left-hand set. >_>

I understand where I'm supposed to be moving the barrels, but I'm having severe issues with controlling which direction the barrels move when I click them. How do I control which direction I am moving the barrels in?

Same here. Any time I click a barrel it just turns visible/invisible but it's not moving. Do I have to press a key in order to move them?

You have to do the manuever within a certain number of moves or you lose the attribute point bonus and summon up a bunch of demons instead.  Frankly I ignore the barrels, grab the book and move on with the quest.

Yes. Thanks for the answer but this is not the problem: The barrels just won't move in ANY direction and I don't know what I have to do to get them moving (in any direction); is there some keyboard stroke or Mouse movement I would have to do and that I'm missing? I know about the 18 allowed clicks/moves before demons spawn and I plan to solve the puzzle myself, but it's the moving itself that seems to just not work for me.

Its like one of those good old picture puzzles. You can only move one with an open space next to it and it will only move into that open space

And that's exactly what's not happening; they are just there and keep getting visible/invisible when I click them. Only once a barrel was really moving. :(

But I assume that this problem is connected to another one that I have: Clicking on the "Examine" points in the mansion only triggers a line in 1 of 10 tries. Same goes for talking to Sandal or other NPC's; and last but not least I am missing almost every first dialog cut scene (and am beamed right away to the first dialog choice selection (see this thread: http://social.biowar...53793/3#6925808 ).

Sooo... I assume, the barrels should move somehow but they just don't for me because the program ignores most of the first click events on my PC (?).
