[Spoilerific] Any way to keep Fenris and Anders?

I'm mid act 2 and I have to ask this cause it's killing me.
Anders is my LI, I'm a mage, totally pro-mage but not the evil type. I rescue apostates, but not those who attack me (they can DIE DIE DIE) while trying NOT to kill templars if possible (lie? yes. kill? not so much).
Fenris is a pain in the neck but I like him too much. He keeps going between rivalry and friendship because he approves of my good actions but frowns when I rescue mages and tell them to run off rather than go back to the circle. I'm trying to get rivarly, but I'm role playing and I like and respect him. So whenever I talk to him I tend to get friendship. I'm about to start his mission and I have a dreadful feeling I'll be getting friendship points again *sigh*. I mean, I'm a mage, but anyone torturing elves and having slaves deserves DEATH in my eyes. (I was a mage elf in DA:O, hehe)
So... to the point, shall we.
I know what Anders will do (kind of, been reading the forums and there's no escaping the hints hehe). I plan to spare him. The chantry douchebags try to instigate war with qunary, they support the enslavement of mages and their silence is enabling the BS going on in Kirkwall. No freaking religious fervour will excuse the crap they are doing. Yes, innocents, blah blah, but I get Anders viewpoint and my mage loves him, she's not about to kill him.
If I bring Fenris along for that fuss when I spare Anders, will he flip out and leave?
Or either way if I go rivalry and side with mages Fenris will leave?
I don't know if it's worth my cheating in my firstplaythrough to get friendship with Fenris. We obviously disagree, leaving him at home for mage related quests just seems like breaking out of character big time. And feels like going behind his back. Agree with him in private, take him on saving the innocents missions, and he'd be friendly. But I feel like that'd be such BS right now.
I'm ranting. I want to know, what happens if Fenris is with me with I spare Anders? Is he like Sebastian and flip out and walk out, or just give me rivalry points?
Why the heck is it that all the warrior characters are so anti-mage? If you play a mage, you need them, but they're always disaproving and crap. ARG.
[And just as a side, the brother is SO annoying. He pisses me off more than Morrigan ever did with her whinning.]

I saved both of them when I sided with the Mages at the final battle.

I not only sided with the Circle of Kirkwall, but spared Anders and kept him around. He was in my group when Meredith, Carver, Fenris, and the templars confronted us. I had a rivalry with Fenris and while he initially sided with Meredith, I pointed out that what the Chantry was doing was slavery, and he told Meredith he was siding with his friend, then left her side to join me.

(just dont take him on mage missions) vice versa with Anders.
I havent done a rival with Fenris, but my next playthrough i'm going to be a mage and romance anders but I want to keep fenris so going to have to be abit careful.
Although on my first playthrough I managed to get both of them 100% friendship whilst having both...

Does this mean Fenris could potentially die if you decide not to convince him to come back? ;~;

However, it annoyed me you can't keep Anders and... another character. You can't finish the game with a full compliment of companions

It's possible to keep them both or to kill either. For me, butchering Fenris was the high point of the game, whining emo pig.

Technically speaking, you can't finish DA:O with a full compliment of companions either.
My first playthrough I completed Anders' romance, and wound up killing Fenris because it seemed OOC for my Hawke to make him fight when he's been disagreeing with the mage-stance from day one (and they never ended up being that close anyway). Killing him still made me sadface though.

I dunno, neno. Alistair and Loghain occupy the same position, as do Carver and Beth. So you CAN finish DAO with a full compliment of companions, not just 'all companions' because two occupy the same space.
But Anders and Sebastian don't occupy the same space. It's more akin to Kaiden/Ashley than anything else. A bit cheap to do that with a DLC character, in my opinion.

I was in a romance with Anders but, I doubt that makes a difference.

fenris who i barely used went with the templars, then at the final confrontation i looked at fenris and said "dude....come on..." and he was like "awww fine!" and joined up with me again.
obviously paraphrasing but thats kinda how it went.
