Hi, I haven't seen my problem come up recently so hopefully I'm not the only one....

When I start up the game, for some reason even if I have the disc in it will not detect it and pops up a message for me to insert it into the drive.  It worked last night after i found out I had to unplug one of my drives because it would not detect the cd in my cd drive at all (it kept telling me to insert the disc into the drive that wasn't my disc drive ), but now today, having not plugged it back in and put he cd in where it's supposed to go, it keeps telling me to insert the disc.  And won't let me in the game at all.

Not sure what else to try.  ><

I'm also have a problem with freezing on the dialogues but noticed that problem is already reported.  So more frustrated over the game not reading the right drive.

Edit:  And before it is suggested, my disc is fine.  The problem is it's not detecting the right drive to even see the disc in there, even though the drive is definitely functional.  It's trying to tell me to insert it into the letter drive that is before my disc drive...  for example, it kept telling me to insert it into Drive A.... drive A at the time was my floppy disc drive that I had to unplug before it finally detected drive D, my cd drive.

It's not entirely just the game, it's Windows, too. After you get the game set up and you do a single verification, you are supposed to be able to remove the game disk, but a variety of supplemental devices are being triggered somehow, such as card readers.

To search the archives for prior instances of your problem, use Google, Yahoo, or even Bing, and add a site: redirector to the criteria:
