Hi folks,

I'm having a strange problem.
My main character doesn't deal damage anymore.
He slashes on the enemies, but they does not loose any health.
I can use techs or else nothings works. Now my squad members have to deal the damage while my character is just running around stupidly and avoid fightings...

I noticed that Hawke doesn't dealy any damage anymore, when I had to enter the chantry to look after the vicounts son. In the fight I first noticed that. But appearently I didn't do any damage in the Leandra quest (mother)...

So I don't know where I run into that kind of "bug"... but a restart of the game didn't help and I don't want to start 2-3 hours all over again, where my character dealt damage.
As said I cannot say since when he didn't dealt damage anymore, but I noticed it in the Leandra quest.
So any ideas on how to resolve this... or are there any others who have this problem?

No one an idea?
Can someone of Bioware please say something regarding this issue?
It complety stops me from playing the game, because having on char in the team that absolutly doesn't deal any damage is not very funny.

So I tried to reinstall the game, but this didn't work. Same problem. What can I do?
And as I've heard I'm not the only one with this problem.

Glancing Blows are in Dragon Age 2. What this means to the user is that if they do not have overhead damage numbers turned on it will sometimes look like regular attacks do 0 damage (especially to lieutenants and bosses) but this is simply their attack rating being too low and the enemy not being fully affected by the attack. There is a good chance your Hawke doesnt have enough points invested in your main stat (warrior=str, mage=int, rogue=dex) which means your attack rating is too low.

I suspect if you turn on damage popups youll see that you're just hitting for 1-3 damage.

I have over 70 points in strength... is that too less?
I do 103DPS

Also other members have less points in strength (like Aveline) and she does more damage than Hawke.
It's not because I invested too less points into Hawke, this cannot be... with every level up I put points into strength and health... the last times only in strength.

Hawks hits aren't counted... I hit the enemy and nothing appears over their heads. I however get over 27k with each hit??? Something is completly wrong here... I'm not down with one hit, but those numbers scare me off a bit.
27k but my hit's aren't counted... so what the heck is going on?

I have the feeling my character is messed up completly now.

I'm seeing this too I'm getting damage numbers but the HP bar doesn't change <.< and you'd think a 300 damage hit would take a chunk outta it.
it just seems to randomly happen though sometimes the HP goes down properly others it ignores everything maybe it's just bugging out and getting glancing blows but not actually showing it as a 1 damage hit? to me it seems to happen anytime i DON'T have Cleave buff up when that's on things die when it's off i can be beating on the same bloody skeleton for 5 minutes before Isabella comes along and just turns it into goo(I can take down an Ogre solo in no time flat but a skeleton archer takes me 5 minutes o.O?!)

I met the same problem after finishing the mission to rescure viscount's son. But I'm not sure if it's a bug. Because after this happened, i turned the difficulty from nightmare to hard, and it seemed normal again. I need to say, however, it's extremely weird to watch your companies doing full damage and hawk doing nothing while the others' state are even less than hawk's. It looks like a bug to me. I guess maybe hawk gets too much penalties from difficulty by mistake.

I hope that you don't mind me bumping this year-old thread, but I had the same problem with my warrior Hawke. Is there a way to resolve this?
