The ending was terrible.

And leliana? wtf? She's supposed to be with the warden....

And also the fact that there are no real choices in the game, lame.

the end? i wait NO. These weeks I have read many europeans forums where there is very disagreement with DA2. The vast majority of the followers are not in these fourms.. Maybe no, maybe yes, this can be a dangerous change(a way) for bioware: by one hand "call of duty players" in general look for other types games... on other hand the many followers dont like this change. I think bioware know to make great games, maybe DO2 was a experiment, i hope it. Good luck. Waiting DRAKENSANG 3

I was disappointed with the ending, especially with how I made the choices in the game.  Overall, this felt like a chapter in the larger scheme of things with dragon age.

Could it be...?! Warden? Hawke?

THIS YEAR

DRAGON AGE 3

EXPERIENCE CO-OP GAMEPLAY LIKE YOU NEVER HAVE BEFORE

WILL YOU DECIDE TO WORK WITH YOUR FRIENDS, OR WORK SLIGHTLY AGAINST THEM?

CONTROL YOUR FATE

DECIDE YOUR FUTURE

DRAGON AGE 3, TAKING STORIES WHERE THEY SHOULDN'T REALLY BE

As long as they don't **** all over the Mass Effect saga by expecting us to finish THAT storyline by pissing away money on DLC... I guess I can deal with the DA2 ending.

Oh, and a nude patch. dayum dat leliana face is prity sexc hehe xd

Disappointing ending, completed about 15 minutes ago.

I want to play the game again but don't really want to play the last part.

I played mage and followed the mages all the way through, only to find last minute, every mage in the game is really evil and the chantry basically destroyed the world as I freed them from the templar opression, WTF!! crap ending, the player should become the leader of the chantry and decide what to do, as although I support the mages, I would have them form a new peaceful circle not under templar power...........

OMG!!! the twist at the end is just EPIC. *spoiler* To Leliana "Where is the Champion?" "Gone, same as the Warden." What is going to happen next!!!! BAD BAD tease. This was the most mind blowing story telling in any series of games.

I know, you'd have thought the Grey Wardens would guard their graveyards better.

Never explains what happened to the Grey Wardens in kirkwall who are casually wading through Qunari either - damned if i'm buying more DLC to clear up that enigma

-eh- this is general discussion. not the spoiler forums. aka not a good idea to discuss the ending of da2 here.

I felt the same way as playing through deus ex invidible war, just... underwhelming after the original. In origins like in Deus Ex I felt I was exploring a world, DA2 felt like wading through instanced levels again and again and again.

Also that was an ending? If felt like the mid point of the game, setting up for a big finale, I sat dumbfounded by rthe credits, what happening with Flemeth? Morrigan and the witch hunt dlc, those letters from Avernus about what the warden was up to with Dark Spawn blood etc, it didn't end it just stopped after an ending which basically made a mockery of any choices you regarding the templars vs Mages

Maybe after the first one my hopes were to high but for the first time in my life, and I played Bioware games since Baldurs Gate, I am disapointed. I never thought a bioware game would feel rushed or lazy but there it is.

Uhh how in the hell are we not supposed to give spoilers away since we are discussing the end of a video game? And this thread is titled Dragon Age 2 "End." Image IPB

Anyways I think most of us agree that the ending left far more questions than answers.

I hated the ending. And for a game about "choice" the fact that the ending is the same result--Meredith and Orsino crazy and dead, champion flees city with tail betwee legs--is a joke. Badly done Bioware. I really enjoyed the game until the 3rd act, which was ****** poor compared to the great 2nd act in particular.

This game deserves the flack it's taking on the net currently for the ending.

Alright so i just finished the game and Honestly I enjoyed the game for what it was.

But since I put my time into my Warrior and shaping him how I wanted him to be, with him finally reaching the peak of his power the game just ends and all of the sudden you're stuck in youor estate with only the Black Emporium to go to. That limiting feeling after saving the cityy "TWICE" is not a good thing in my book. Also while I was a bit bummed about the ending being the same regardless of your 'Major' choices (Side with A or B) , I am glad to have found out now instead of putting the time in to figure it out for meself.

But anyways all in all glad I bought the game and I'll keep it, just please get some more content out Bioware!!

P.S. I had to edit this upon seeing the No Spoilers Tab, so I think I fixed it. But if I'm spoiling anything here let me know and I'll change it.

I'm fine with the ending as long as it gets resolved in DA3, if i have to pay to buy dlc to conclude what happens in DA2 ill just feel like i've been ripped off.

Presonally didn't cared about neither factions in games;cause both where cruel and corupt in their on way.I my own presonal opinion I wish I was able to ally with Qunari and let them raze city to the ground....

I played a mage all the way through to the end of Dragon Age 2 and to me I was more gutted that I didn't even have a finishing move with them great huge magic hands then the ending.

Anyway jokes aside, yeah there should have been a better ending to this game not that it is particualy bad but I would like to see that they continue on from what has happend and not just leave it there.

they kept raising questions the entire game than gave us a dissatisfying ending that answered none of them. they definitely came up with the plot to this game while watching an episode of LOST.

Yeah, I completely agree with you. It was definitely an unsatisfying end, why not give us some closure or maybe even just solve a few mysteries. I really enjoyed the first two acts but by the third, it started to feel 'soulless'. Plus, the ending really made me feel like **** lol.

I really thought there was going to be a second part of the game, like after Varric does his storytelling of the 'past', we would be playing in the 'present'. But noooo, they just brought up the credits.

this explains everything

what dose this explain?
all I see is a unnecessary and irrelevant dig at what is essentially
a grate game with grate characters who have there own live and agenda
that you can Imagen doing more than standing around in camp . so i
have made up my own ending. instead

but i do agree that the
ending was poor i want the missing 4 years and also if he left the
city how can dlc start there why is bodan still there when he said he
was leaving and so meany other questions to be answers so come on
bioware give us a clue as to what you where thinking with that
ending.

My wife and I have run through the game and we both feel like we just played a very long somewhat overpriced introduction. Yes the game took hours and hours to play (less because the kid in me couldn't help but use one of the glitches) but there isn't really an "end" to the story. It feels like there should have been a disk 2 in the case that had the actual game and story line.
