Hi!
My video card is ATI radeon hd 4890 and I have windows vista 64 bit service pack2.
From what I can tell should support directx10 but I can not choose anything higher than medium in the graphics options and I can not choose anything other than directx 9. I´ve read about it here and from what I can tell I should be able to choose "high" in the graphics options even though my card does not support directx 11.
I have just installed new drivers for my card but that didnt change anything.
And also Im experiencing som strange "flickering" shadows on the characters when I play the game and zoom in on them. But the dissapear when I enter a conversation though.
Any help on this would be much appreciated thank you!
How do I use DirectX10 as my renderer?

I have the same problem! I should be able to use Directx 10, but for some reason I'm not getting the option to do so...

I got mine to work now. Had to download a platform update for windows vista.
Are you on vista too EvilEggCracker? Try going to windows update manager and download and install "Platform Update for Windows Vista (KB971644)" if available. I am now able to choose high graphic detail in the options.

Hmm... I've had a look, and that download isn't available to me. Presumably I've downloaded it in the past. Alas =(

And yes, I am on Vista. I wonder if it's just not showing up on my possible updates, because I've been looking through my installed updates and I've been unable to find it...

Tell it to use "DX11 (if available)" Even if your card only supports DX10, you can still run DX11. You just won't get the exclusive features from Very High quality like tessellation.

DX11 is backwards compatible with DX10. You can select DX11 and use High settings. I'm on Vista also.
