I, too, am already working on my next playthrough. Thanks to the developers not padding the game's length, it's reasonable to want to play it again without feeling like "oh god here we go again." With Origins, I just couldn't replay it. Not immediately. The same with Bioware's other games, too. When they're too long, it's too much of an ordeal to play it again right away. But considering the sheer number of branches the story had, I will likely not get the same exact playthrough, and therefore a new experience to get -- so now it's as long as however many hours it took the game to complete times however many times I play it! :happy:reddragon_756 wrote...

In all honesty I've played through Origins at least 5 times lol. It's one of, if not my favorite games. Dragon age 2 seems the same so far for me. Mass Effect I've only been able to get through about twice. Same with Mass Effect 2. But Bioware's games last me a lot longer then other games. I love their games(even though I've only played like 4 of them).

I got that too even though I romanced Anders and told him I was going to go into hiding with him. I think the reason I got to stay with Isabela is that I agree to be part of her pirate crew (despite saying BUT WHAT ABOUT ANDERS?? and she told me I could bring him along). I hope if there's going to be a DAIII and I play as Hawke again, they won't make me lose Anders. >E I invested too much time into staying dedicated to that mess.Potter28 wrote...
Did anyone else in their ending hear Varric say, "We had to leave The Champion's side eventually, except Isabela."
I was friends with Isabela but wasn't involved with her (Probably the only person in Thedas who hadn't been.)
Thoughts?

Seriously though, I agree with you totally. I think they have a great setup for future DLC and Dragon Age 3. We knew from the beginning that the WORLD WAS ON THE BRINK OF WAR and the Champion was at the center of the events that started it all. Anyone that didn't see VERY BAD ENDING coming during the prologue.. well, I won't be rude.

Yes! This is my sentiment exactly. I've avoided the internet since I was playing, and I came back all happy with the game to ... a 3.8 on metacritic? I used to disagree with Gaider hatin' on the fanbase. But damn it. I'm hating them soooo much right now.Village Idiot wrote...
I just finished my first playthrough like twenty minutes ago and I ABSOLUTELY loved the ending. I came to the forums looking to see what everyone thought and totally lost my buzz.Thought it was fantastic, loved Hawke, loved my family, and loved the tale. AHHH! WANT MOAR!!

The final fight was great, even though that stupid Fenris turned against me. Orsino's giant-monster form was a fun (but not very tense) battle, while Meredith was loads of fun and VERY TENSE. Definitely one of the best fights in the series--the rock wraith in the Deep Roads was more fun, I think, though.
(The Arishok fight was bullcrap, though... I died so many times just because I have to fight 20 guys and this one overpowered dude all at once with no geographical advantage...)

It's funny, up until the very end, I was anticipating starting a new playthrough immediately. But then the ending happened and I was like, "Man, I don't know if I want to put another Hawke through all that ****." I started a new playthrough anyway, though.

You are not the only one, though I hope that future expansions/DLC's continue Hawke's story with his/her love interest in some shape or form. It left me wanting more.
This is why I did not like the ending all that much, made me want more, and I really hope we get a continuation soon:pinched:

Looking back on it though, I feel terrible for Anders because he felt pushed so hard and so far that he felt the only solution was to start a war. My initial reaction was to start over and have a Fenris romance be my main ending for whatever sequel / DLC that comes out, but I think I will still have the ending with Anders be my primary ending now. Someone needs to look after him, and keep him in check. Hopefully any continuation of the story will include him, even though I imagine many, many people killed him for what he did.
