Hey, don't know if anyone can help but these boards seem pretty friendly. I'm definitely going to need a new graphics card for dragon age 2. I thought I might get away with it but playing today was not good. I ran DAO at full and was fine but I guess this is a step up.

My main issue is knowing what cards my motherboard will be able to cope with. My motherboard is a MSI MS-7613 (Indio).

My pc is about a year old but my graphics card is not for gaming and needs replaced now. Specs:

Intel Core i7-860 processor
(2.8GHz, 8MB Cache)
6GB DDR3 memory
1TB hard drive1GB
NVIDIA GeForce GT220

Can I get a better video card? How much better? I would hope to spend between £100-200. Any help would be very much appreciated. I was looking at:

That is an excellent graphics card, but the currency being foreign to me, I can't confirm whether it's a good price, sorry. It is a medium to borderline high level, mainline gaming card, and "probably" could run properly with the usual power supplies that would have been used to build a one year old PC, although fairly soon you would want to upgrade that as well, but you'd have some time to be ready with the extra funds.

There are faster video cards that would allow you to include more Dx11 bells and whistles, and it isn't a high end card like a 470 / 480 /570 / 580, which means you would basically be running it in High settings (Dx10), & making that next step up the performance ladder does require a power supply upgrade immediately, making the current total probably beyond your budget.

Glad to help. I consider it a form of insurance. More gamers having fun on PCs = less likelihood that there will be reduced numbers of games for my chosen game platform.
