So ummm how is bioware going to bring the Warden back exactly? I mean its pretty clear by the ending of DA2 that both Hawke and the Warden are coming back.

The only problem with that is that my Warden is dead, He died killing the Archdemon. So is bioware going to pull a Shepard 2.0 and bring the Warden back from the dead? I mean if Flemeth could be brought back that easily it shouldn't be to hard to do.

Now I know some people's Warden's survived by doing the god baby deal but still.  What do you guys think?

They're not bringing back the Warden and Flemeth was never really dead. She knew the warden was going to kill her( if you choose to) Remeber at the beginning when she tells Hawke she has an appointment. She's talking about her fight with the Warden. Flemeth is not what she appears to be always remember that. Also what makes you think Hawke and the Warden are coming back. We'll probably have a new main character in DA:III

My Warden went through the Eluvian with his beloved Morrigan so that is what Iam assuming they mean when they say Hawke disappeared "just like the Warden."

Hero of Ferelden + Champion of Kirkwall = Dragon age III or Massive Dragon Age II expansion.

They will unite to fix the mess the world of Thedas has become.

I hope not. My Warden could care less about the fate of the world. I'd hate to be forced to make him get involved.

Cassandra is looking for Hawke at the end of the game Cassandra says that hawke disappeared just like the Warden. So unless she's talking about the Wardens corpse disappearing this means that the warden is back  from dead/portal and has gone missing.

I'm guessing she and the other templars are looking for the two most powerfull people in Thedas, meaning both Hawke and the Warden.

She still says the Warden is missing no matter what save you upload.

Dunno if this helps but...

Luke Barrett a Bioware person, posted on one of the forums that I started that DA2 had not plot flags for any of the DLC yet. So what happened at the end of Witch Hunt is not in the game. So right now the Warden issue is unresolved. Maybe in DA3 we'll find out. I hope so. I want to know about Morrigan!!!

Well that seems to be the plan of Leliana and the Seekers and bioware's ultimate plan for Dragon Age III if the ending is any indication.

I'm sure there will be a reason for all Wardens to get involved, even if it takes a massive amount of gold. The love of another, mages wanting to be free, not wanting an Alienage to burn down, maybe a heavy dose of being guilted into it- or maybe they just won't have a choice in the matter.

Well my Warden in the only save I still have due to my HDD failing previously, anyways, I had a Female Human Noble Warden, and she married Alistair at the end, and was Queen of Ferelden, and I also got the "dissapeared just like the Warden" ending, so it tells me that the Warden has a reason for dissapearing.

If the Warden is coming back I wonder how Bioware will handle it, will the Warden be the main character again or would he be a companion.

Maybe they'll have Hawke and The Warden both as main characters with their own set of companions, and their stories are told at the same time, alternating. You know? They're both connected in some way, but they're not directly involved with eachother, but something you do as Hawke could affect what happens to the Warden's group and vice versa.

Maybe Flemeth has something to do with both Hawke and the Warden disspearing? I hope not... cause my Warden killed her in Origins, I hope she can forgive.

Or they sell Dragon Age 3: Warden and Dragon Age 3: Champion... to make twice as much money.

IF they bring back hawk ane the warden, my guess is that itd be from a third party perspective, seeking hem out and attempting to return them by winning them over to your side. you wont control them from your main character in DA3, however how you molded them has an effect on what their influence is over the world. so ifyour warden was a champion for justice, whenyou recruit him hell complete quests and missions to help people etc. pretty neat idea.

i still want more strategy elements like in awakening and nwn2. you take over a keep and have to decide where patrols go and who to allow in your city? thatdbe a great expansion idea here where youre the new viscount of kirkwell and have to either become a refuge for templars or mages.

Darn, I hate it when the protagonist changes. I really like my warden.
I hope in DA3 we will be able to play with the warden or Hawke.

DA2 is an excellent game but, in comparison to origin, it kinda felt like a vacuum was left behind.
I finished the game in 31 hours and got almost every achievment.
I am left with a sour taste in the end. :(

I'm wondering if DA3 will allow us to either bring back our Warden or our Hawke character(s). That would be awesome!

I really hope this series continues on. And not just something like a Trillogy...there is so much more to discover in Thedas! So many other countries to scew around with! The Orlesians, the Antivians, Riviana, Qunari, Tevinters, additional Dalish lore....I mean....whoa!

I want like 12 games out of this series.

I think that it's pretty obvious that the Warden will be making a return. Evidence:

-You can feel the Warden's influence everywhere in the game. The first one I noticed was a bunch of notes that needed to be delivered, and it was signed Grey Warden Commander.
-King Alistair, noted when Teagan told him "The Hero of Fereldan should be back in Denerim by now." that everything in Orlais is not going well and the Empress is getting ready for war.
-The Grey Warden's from Orlais said they were on an important mission, so they couldn't help with the Quanari attack. The mission is unexplained in the game.
-Nathanial in the Deep roads says he was personally asked by the Grey Warden Commander to look for something, and he won't tell Hawke and co. what it is.
*-On my evil run, one of the guards asked Hawke for help tracking down Nobles attached to trying to assassinate my Warden in Awakenings. This doesn't indicate a sequel, but I liked the reference to my evil Warden.

By the end, both Hawke and the Warden have disappeared. But from the above examples, it's obvious your Warden is out and about and doing stuff. The sequel will probably take place in Orlais, star the glorious return of your Warden, and run side long to events in DA2.

Something else to mull over: What if Varric lied about what he told Cassandra? What if events didn't happen the way he said? What if Anders was never really killed, or they found a way to do something else he didn't mention? We only played what Varric tried to tell--this is probably not what actually happened.

Makes it much easier for them to retcon in the sequel and write themselves out of corners.

I think it would be a neat idea to play as the Warden (if you did US, then the Awakenings Warden?) and Hawke both, playing along a converging storyline so that they meet up in the middle for some sort of epicness....the Chantry is really the source of the blights and Darkspawn!

This....I think I remember in one of the interviews someone saying something along the line of "How much can you trust the story that is being told?" Because in DA:2, we're not playing the events as they are unfolding, like in DA:O, we're playing through the story that Varric decides to tell Cassandra.

After all, it's not like Varric is an impartial storyteller....and he admits freely to why tell the truth when you can spin a good story.

As long as it has a resolution I dont care...

I would love to play my warden again but is long as I get answers unlike KOTOR (I still want to know what happened to Reven.)

I'm not entirely sure they'd bring back the Warden (as awesome as that sounds). Nevermind what happened in people's DA:O imports, one of the default options is that the Warden dies. If they were going to retcon what happened to the Warden so they could put him DA3,I don't think they've would've given you a selectable backstory in which he dies.

I hope that i am playing as my Warden character in the next DA game. Not that DA II wasn't fun (the mechanics were great) but Hawke wasn't as cool of a character, and i didn't really feel that the companions were compelling to talk to.

Like I said in my starting post If Flemeth can be brought back by a piece of jewelery, then the Warden could be brought back by his/her ashes or what ever.
