possible fix.
When I was playing Dragon Age 2 it would always be freezing every like 5 - 8 mins.
Mainly on conversations but also on battles. No matter what it would freeze
around the 5 - 8 mins. After messing with it I discovered that if you lower the
resolution to 480p on the system and then play like that for awhile it may fix
your freezing problem. Though when I lowered the resolution I also was signed
out of psn, I haven’t tried it when logged in and at 480p, but I don't think it
matters. If this fixes the problem then you can switch back to your resolution
and it should be working.
If it does not work for you try possibly telling the system to only use 1080p
and uncheck 720p and 1080i (by default 480p is selected) and run the game (when
you do this you force the game to run at 480p because it can't run at 1080p)
now play for a while and then save and switch back to your normal resolution.
If none of this works try different combinations, if still no then I guess wait
for a patch. Also if you like performance over visuals then run at 480p, you’ll
notice a little difference in speed but it will not look as great.
