@kryptonitebe: "I WANT MORE THAN A REFUND!!! I SHOULD GET PAYED FOR INVESTING TIME IN THIS SORT OF BUG FILLED CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

ha, ha, ha -- funny but true. the games only half as long DA:O but with twice as many bugs, even freezes and CTDs. there is almost zero exploration, it might as well be a side scroller.

We paid $60 to Beta-Test this game for BioWare/EA. Yep, and they're probably laughing at us, but that's okay -- IT WONT HAPPEN AGAIN.

BioWare has sold-out to cash in, but I'm done with DA after this, and after ME3 I don't see buying anything else from BioWare again and with EA's new "online pass" shenanigans they can keep all their games and I'll keep all my money, thank you very much EA for helping me curb my spending habits!

Thank God Bethesda is still around and now they even publish their own games so there should be no worries about The Elder Scrolls or Fallout getting ****d out like this. Come on November....

I knew what I was buying, so no, I don`t want my money back. Besides, I liked DA2, despite its flaws.

Short answer... No

I'm a little dissapointed but it isn't a bad game overall, just my expectations that were a little too high. It did crash on me one time though, that was more than a little annoying.

There are no refunds if you happen to not like it that's stupid. After you watch a movie in the cinema and it turns out it sucks do you go demanding your money back at the ticket office?

I do. Sadly it never works.

Of course i do! I want my money back from everything i've ever bought :P Alas, nothing is free.

And in a serious tone, no. It's different from what i expected, but worth it nevertheless.

Come on November....

Having played their previous games, i fully expect Skyrim to have crappy story, poor RPG mechanics mostly relying on player skill featuring frustrating minigames, incomprehensible design decisions that take few dozen mods to fix, and a fanbase whining it wasn't Morrowind 2.0  Oh and, ask classic Fallout fans about Fallout 3, it is already ****ed :P

Yes, i'm a Bethesda fan ^_^

The strength of Bethesda games is that they make a world and let others fill it. Think of them as a blank slate, open to both the hardcore modders and the crazy-nuts roleplayers that pretend to be hunters and spend hours killing deer and living in a shack in the woods. The main quest is there for the reviews and the Casual Cassys.

That said, I really hope Skyrim has a story that's a bit more involving.

hell if you want a proven money maker blizzard takes 10 years to make starcraft 2 or diablo 2/3 and it will sell unimaginable amounts (like diablo 2 did) give devs the time to make the game right.

No way. Only up to the Ancient Rock Wraith so far, and I'm loving it (not as much as Origins but its still good).

Let's hope it only gets better from here.

That was either a word from the wise or a biased opinion from a member of the doomsayers-collective.

I'd guess the second.

I treat their games as dungeon crawlers really. The modding community around Bethesda's games is amazing, i won't even consider playing without OOO, FWE and Project Nevada (for Oblivion, F3 and NV respectively). And TES is the only game series i can play with a lizardman or a catlady (literally)

I never thought i would rant about any of Bioware's Game's, but DA2 is an almost as bad Console port as Deus Ex 2.
It ripped everything that made Origins a great RPG out and tried to be something a pure RPG should never become.

There's a reason why the Genre is split into RPG's, Action-RPG's and J-RPG's and trying to merge across the border was the worst Idea they ever had in my opinion.

Well, since i've bought and played through it, a refund is unlikeley, but it would be the first game of this Company i would be willing to bring back into the store.

No, no, and no.Image IPB

I love BioWare RPGs.

RPGs have to be the most difficult programs to write code for. No other genre has as much voiceovers, orchestra music, art, animation, you name it.

Not to mention programmers also have to contend with Windows, the Registry, different CPUs and GPUs, GPU drivers, and Direct-X.

Imagine all the work that goes into coding an intelligent NPC AI.

Hell no.

Also, I guess I am one of the lucky ones because I haven't encountered any bugs that adversely affects my joy of the game, like that one Bone Pit corrupted save thing or not being able to enter the chantry during fools rush in, and I looted the one person's body before Isabel said anything.
