Like the title says, doesn't matter what I pick up it is restricted to the main character.... Now what? Wait 3 months for a patch to come out? You must be joking right? how can this happen?

You can't change companion armor anymore. You can only change Hawke's. You can still customize their weapons, though.

octorberfire is right; you cannot change your compansions' armor anymore, you can however change their weapons and jewelry, except Varric who doesn't want to part with his crossbow.
Bioware did this to explain why the characters wouldn't wear diffrent armor otherwise in the timespan of 10 years.

yah well thats just stupid that i cant change there armor. i mean i have one good set and i dont need the others for my main toon. if this is the case they totally messed up on this game. not worth the money to me now.

Move it to junk and sell it. you're gonna be selling a LOT of armor pieces. Im not even kidding the problem is that sure you pick the armor and its... 25 str and 25 con.

That and the leather armor I keep getting. Yes its nice and all but then I put it on.
