Need help with Heatlh Potions and Armor sets

I just started the game yesterday so I'm not very far yet. Is there a health potion recipe? Can I find it in act 1 or will I have to get farther? I'd also like to know where rI could find good armor sets, I'm having trouble with that. Also where can I find upgrades for my companions' armors/clothing. No spoilers please.

can't help you with personal armor sets...I'm working on that myself. But I did get a set of rogue armor that gives a bonus; the pieces droped off of various mobs, the Last Descent set. I'm now worjking on the Enasalin set and I'm afraid that since I'm now in act 3 I might have missed out on the boots. As for companion armor upgrades...just check every vender you com in contact with, repeatedly. I swear that I found some upgrades at venders that I already checked. I was probably in diferent acts, though. I did get sevral upgrades during Act 2.
