good thing u trolls don't matter much

HAHA

It's easy calling everyone that says anything different than you a troll. Do you really want to hear an honest BioWare RPG fan's opinion or not?

Well here it is:
BioWare is my favorite company. I've bought and played every single game that they've made except Jade Empire.
They are the best.

Dragon Age 2 is a horrible horrible game. It has a few positive changes, such as better skill trees and status effects, better combos but that's it.

EVERY single thing except from what I've mentioned above is an epic fail.

Fast ninja combat... check
Ridiculous bloody body explosions with a touch of a sword...check
Repeated environments...check
One-dimensional characters...check
Not caring for main character AT ALL...check
No tactical camera...check
Mobs spawning so that you cannot know how many are you going to fight in order to play tactically...check
Power Ranger combat killing lots and lots of enemies with a single move and nothing that looks like reality...check
NO FRIENDLY FIRE {seriously, what where they thinking?}...check
Nightmare has friendly fire but endless spawning of mobs on top of you ruins everything...check
No customization of companions...check
Junk loot...check
Dialog system for dummies...check

And after all these, how can I say that this game is good? How can I say that I hope it sells well?
Selling well means that we want BioWare to do this again. I certainly DO NOT want to ever see such a crappy product having the BioWare brand on it. It's bad for their reputation. I fell sorry for the company that I love.

I'm being realistic about this. I hate to say it but I DO hope that this game does not sell well so that they learn to respect their fan base like they did all those years. DA2 is a game that I want to forget that happened as soon as possible. I've returned it back to the store for a refund and I hope that the hype and the paid reviews will not convince many people to buy it blindly as many have already done. {me included, I just couldn't believe that BioWare could ever make a crappy game, unfortunately I was proven wrong}.

I sincerely hope that this game flops and that BioWare will get back on track ASAP.

Sorry, that is not where I want to go. Caves and trees aren't very comfortable places to live in/on.

so don't buy it and move on, my recent purchases have been...
1) Pre-Order The Witcher 2 on gog.com
2) Planescape Torment
3) Baldur's Gate 2
i plan on buying Beyond Good & Evil HD on the 360, SOTC & ICO HD for the PS3 soon as well and maybe even Nier, i read everything i can in rpg's and investigate every possible line of dialogue, i enjoy watching critereon collection movies on netflix when i'm not watching mst3k (Barry Lyndon is one of my favorite stanley kubrick movies), my favorite handheld games are all puzzle games, i like reading science fiction and non-fiction history

and did i mention i liked black ops enough to buy it, and will probably eventually pick up dragon age 2 despite the known issues that i openly talk about and think should be openly talked about? hell i even love kinect... money is schizophrenic bro :bandit:

The minute I read this game was coming out for the xbox and ps3 I knew it was no longer a RPG or DA1.

Better no Dragn Age games than this.
At least that will stop other publishers from going the console kiddy route.

+1. suddenly bioware's dragon age series is a reflection of our society's education level? anyone who has seen big bang theory in the us knows what i mean when i say these haters are a bunch of sheldons.

I'm not happy, I wouldn't say that. But as someone on the forums once told me, in order to get what we want out of Bioware, 'we have to make the market serve us', if that means not buying the game then so be it.

And if haven't purchased the game and played it for any significant amount of time you have no right to bash the game like have been for the past few days.

You posted in just about every thread devoted to bashing this game and you haven't even plyed it.

Awesome...

Hopefully they are not selling well. This game is utterly crap compared to the expected BioWare quality.

At least they fooled some suckers that pre-ordered the game *points to myself*

Rest assured I won't make that mistake again.

i think we can all agree we want them to have another go at this, so don't wish it does too poorly. So long as feedback about their choices stays consistent they'll hopefully learn from that.

I played the xbox version for 4 hours this afternoon and I've played the demo. Enough to give me a flavour. I've never said 'This game is ****, I hated it'. I've always made it clear that I dont own it. I may make a joke here or there, or a negative opinion founded on my experience, which I'm entirely within my rights to do so. And I would hardly say I've posted in 'Every thread bashing the game', thats nonsense.

I'm on the fence whether or not to purchase it this weekend as I originally planned.

Actually its quite shabby for a AAA title which currently hardly has competitors (except Pokemon if not filtered by platform).

no. it will stop them from developing for the pc. they'll make games that play well on the console and say who cares about the pc.....oh wait, they're already doing that, except for bioware and blizzard for the most part. yes, let's hope da2 fails.

You really believe that DA2 was made for the PC? ROFL
And it tanks on consoles, too.

1st on 360, 2nd on pc and 6th on ps3 is not shabby at all. Like I said, the above is the all platform list. To have 2 versions of the game in the top 10 is not shabby.

well, i have it for the pc, and it plays quite nicely. i like the game. i know that's considered a sin against humanity by the pc elitists, but i still like it. you don't like something, then move on and find a product you do like. wishing failure on someone (or many someones in this instance) is immature.

Angry fanboys always make me smile.  (Wonders never cease that they always want the same exact game, just with better graphics.)

You do realize that the first one was done on the PC nearly 8-10mo before it was done on the consoles?  And it was consolized just especially for you, and it was a pc-centric game built on specific elements.  It wasn't until BW was bought out by EA, that there was even a push to put it to consoles.

Umm, that is one of the most rediculous comparison I've ever seen. That's like comparing kissing your sister to kissing Jessica Biel.

A internet troll is someone uttering a contreversial statement to create a hell of a furious discussion.

Sales usually isn't a measure of Quality and an RPG -- however streamlined -- wil not beat CoD as is an old name in the industry that's gotten extremely popular.

4.5 million? What did Origins get?

4 Million was mentioned. If that is true DA2 will be a utter failure.
Also, while sales are not a direct indication of quality, its the only thing publishers listen too.
