People on the bandwagon thinking it's cool to hate on something. We've all seen it before - in many cases, yes DA2 has it's share of problems but no way in hell does it deserve that score. You're telling me it's worse than Two Worlds?

loves how people who don't like the game try so hard to convince people they're right

Your sarcasm detector must be completely broken.

You can't go trusting those metacritic reviews. Remember, it's a PROVEN FACT that ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE WHO POSTS there is from 4chan and are just trolling. At least that is the case for those who have negative things to say about DA2

That's sarcasm pure.

I would put them on the same lines, maybe with DA 2 a little below Two Worlds, to be honest.

Fan, people aren't saying don't buy DA 2 because they want to be right.  They're ticked off and venting their frustration because they've been ripped off.

Lol @ all the people saying "user scores don't matter!"
So player opinion is worthless? No wonder DA2 is the way it is.

Anyone rating this game in the 3-4 range is completely unrealistic and throwing a childish tantrum. No the players spamming metacritic with such low review scores cannot be taken seriously.

From the little I have seen of the game(I haven't picked it up yet myslef), it's surly not a 0 - 4 rating.

At the same time I find it just as shocking to see it rated in the 9 - 10 range. I have not played a 10/10 game yet.

Even if player ratings don't matter, it is notable that the professional rating is steadily falling as well. It's now at 81 for Xbox and 82 for PS3. I think both scores used to be at 84 not long ago. For a Bioware game, those are extremely low scores.

EA have always high ratings also in theyr bad games.... Corious don't you think?
Anyways in the rank of 10 i can give to dragon age 2 a 6.5... Too many roleplay elements stripped...An horrible design and animations...More responsive combat i have do admit..But static classed and very boring story... The game feels rushed and i really don't like the years skip of time...

According to user score, Dragon Age: Origins is an 83. I expected more from BioWare.

Yawn... a bunch of nerds who care too much spam a load of identical low-scored reviews and that's somehow evidence this is an inferior game?

Within 8hrs of release there were 100+ reviews scoring lower than 4. People aren't playing this with an open mind.

As someone who's put over 1000 hours into the BG series I honestly prefer DAII. Origins was extremely disappointing when I first played it but it did become one of my favourite games. Apart from a bit of awkwardness in combat sometimes (team mates not staying when using hold position, ranged guys running into the middle of a melée to fire at people behind) I can't think of many ways Origins was better.

My two cents as pc player:

-I like the general plot. I like personal stories (Planescape is my fave PC RPG so...) and I like well developed characters but here I see no actual posibilities to change my companion´s views. In DA:O you could create huge doubts in your companions by means of your actions and words. Leliana and Alistair were very clear cases, but Morrigan and even Sten to some extent could change their views a bit thanks to you. I feel this is absent in DA 2.

-In DA:O your actions could change a lot, a huge lot in the world. I´m not going to spoil anything from DA 2 but in here, I have the feeling that I am more of a privileged spectator than an actual force in those events. I don´t really understand why Cassandra is so obssessed with Hawke; because I have the feeling that I did nothing, I was just besides the people who did.

-I´m not really obsessed with the crunchies (yes, I´m an old time tabletop RPG player) and the inventory simplification was not that bad. What feels bad is that the series had a relatively realistic approach to combat in aesthetical terms. Sure you could do some awesome things, but not the Devil May Cry style of movements.

-Why transfering? All the impact I am getting is just a couple codex entries and a couple conversations. That´s all.
You guys in Bioware did it right in ME 2: Wrex being alive made a real difference, the concil being alive made a difference, loosing Alenko or Ash made a difference. Here what my warden did is purely flavour, not difference.
