[Rogue exile]

I know there are a few people out there trying to find the champion armor set like myself.  I did some digging  ... this is what i found..


Major Spoiler










Gloves I received at the start of Act 3. I just had them in my bag. I assume it was a reward from the Act 2's final quest.

Chest was on a High Dragon that you fight in the side quest Mine Massacre. Yep thats right a High Dragon. Go in prepared.

Boots I got from one of the mage targets in a main plot line quest called On The Loose.

Helm I got from a blood mage in Best Served Cold main plot line quest in Act 3.

Yes, you need to wear all 4 to get the bonus, but if you don't want to see the helm, remember there is an option in the game to turn off helms.

Oh......there ARE armor set bonuses? I didn't think there were considering when I put my Blood Dragon armor on none of my stats went up when equipping the whole set. That's good info, thanks. Thanks for the heads up on the high dragon as well.

Do any of these quests of pre-reqs to them? AKA Good, Sarcastic, Bad choices previously made?

Will anything affect said quests to get the armor or are they stand alone?

I've seen two sets that give bonuses so far... one is "of the eye" or something like that, don't recall the other.

So i remember killing the high dragon.. took me forever and all my pots because i was not prepared. But i did kill him, and was super made, because the dragon had no loot. Looted all the smaller dragons you kill during the fight, but the high dragon himself had nothing. So i guess im SOL? because i have since pasted this point.

Wait is this the Mature Dragon from The Bone Pit? It didn't drop the chest piece... (Act 1)

guessing high dragon is certainly different. there is an achievement for him.

I haven't gotten a full set yet. It always seems one of the items is missing.

This time, it was the boots. *sigh*

If you put your mouse over an item it will say at the bottom whether it has a set bonus or not. Then when you go into abilities, you'll see what you got. Next to the Mabari War Hound ability.

This set gives you +3 Strength, +5% armor.

The set bonus for the Champion set varies depending on your class. The bonuses for each are as follows:

Warrior - +3 Strength, +5% Armor
Rogue - +3 Dexterity, +5% Displacement (no idea what that means)
Mage - +3 Magic, +5% Defense

As for weapons, there aren't any 'Of the Champion' items, but they may have a different name; the official guide doesn't give pictures of the weapons.

are you sure it had no loot?
my high dragons body appeared in a completely different spot than the loot.

for me, the loot appeared where i killed the high dragon, but the high dragons dead body was clear across the map.
maybe a similar thing happened to you

my set bonus for champion armor for Rogue is
+3 dexterity and dodge chance +5%
i think thats what you mean instead of displacement

Makes a lot more sense. I took my information from the official guide, as I haven't started my Rogue play-through yet.

yes the high dragon for me ended up in the far corner of hte map due to the cutscene of killing him and it took a couple seconds to register it had loot..i ran around looting all the minor dragons first and then came back...this small lag occurs often in the game....and as for "weapon of champion" i haven't found anything like that...i think the best weapon i had (two handed war) was the Bloom axe...and now that i beat the game and realize there is no real end game+ i regret not looking around more before i beat it.

The of the fallen set bonus is 1 strength and 20 health, just saying since no one said anything about it yet.

Also the last descent set bonus is +20 stamina and +1 dexterity.

I like the stats on the Champion armor, but for the mage Hawke I prefer the look of Robes of the Notorious Mage (I think that's the name). The bare arm and the goofy chest-plate-thing just kill the look of the Champion robes.

warrior champion armor looks like the armor on the cover of the box that he's wearing.

Mage armor is the armor seen in the Trailers and on the cover of the box ( Xbox 360)

All of the set armors give bonuses. They just don't follow the traditional set up of showing it on the weapons stats. Instead, go into where it shows you abilities after equipping the set, and the effect is listed in the bottom right, right next to where it shows your dog and friend/ romance bonuses.
