How is experience allotted for a battle? Is it constant for the battle and divided between however many in your party? So fewer people in your party would result in more experience per person?

Considering the fact that everyone in the game is given experience, regardless of whether or not they're in your party, I personally don't think that matters.

However I've not tested it, so I'll be looking into it today.

Well, I did a quick test. fight in lowtown, went in with 4, 300xp. Went in with 3, 300xp, so looks like it doesn't matter. So there's no benefit in going with less than a full party it seems.

If anyone has other info, I'd like to hear it.

One other thing to check, if you still have that save, is pre- and post-experience levels for party members -not- in the fight. Other than that, it's looking pretty straight-forward.

Not sure about that, and I don't really care too much. I'll keep in my party the ones I want to keep. I was just wondering if there was any value in leaving out ones I didn't want--but if it's all the same, I might as well keep them for their help.

I do notice that different characters level up at different times, so... either their XP requirements are different or there has to be something differentiating how much XP their getting.
