Why are there never any dwarf romance options?

Although I suspect he may be deeply in love with his crossbow.

Plus, if he had known where Hawke was (and he may, considering he knows a LOT), Varric lies...A LOT. I think he'd shut up if he knew where Hawke was and felt Cassandra posed a threat to his friend, or if he knew what Hawke was up to when he/she disappeared and didn't want to be followed.

Though she needs longer hair imo. I never liked her hairstyle in Awakening.
Also, Xanthos Aeducan's chest hair is just as awesome as Varric's.

I forgot about Sigrun. She was totally adorableand my warden would have romanced her (though I'd have to be dragged away from Nathaniel if he had been an option).
I really hope she returns as a companion later on, with longer hair. I think Sigrun would look great with long hair and with the changes Bioware wanted to make to Dwarven women.

Mardy was already a dwarven romance option.
Eh... I wouldn't call Mardy a romance option. She's pretty much just a one-time affair. That's like saying the Dwarven prostitutes are romance options.
The question is dealing more with romances like that of Alistair, Morrigan, Merrill, and the other LI companions.

You get a kid with her, thats more romance than you get with any other character since Aerie. The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

Come DA and it's getting better (at least there are multiple and gay and bi choices). However, who is still not the standard type for romancing? Manly women - Aveline, short people - dwarves, stoic barbarian - Sten, older women - Wynne). I would've liked to have seen Aveline and Varric as romance options. Aveline of course has her Donnic storyline, but why not Varric? No, they chose pretty-boys Fenris and Anders, and ****ty Isabela and cutesy Merrill.

I would not mind Dwarves being available for LIs but each game only had four LIs in the party. If that formula stays I imagine that the game makers will continue to use humans and elves as the LIs because they are easier to make "hawt" for the most players. Perhaps a Dwarf could be the Sebastian-style LI for DA3.

I liked Sigrun but I doubt she will ever be back as a major character since there is a good chance she did not survive DA:A. I was sad that she turned on the Warden when I was playing. Varric seems to be pining for Dwarven girls quite a bit in DA2 and I think he and Sigrun would make a cute couple.
Eh Bioware would probably ignore her death as being permanent and explain it away, just as they did Oghren's and Leliana's.
And I have to agree on him and Sigrun being an awesome couple.

I'd pay for that.
