Does anyone have an ideas how this might work?

I became Viscount, I believe by siding with the Templars, I am a Mage. I don't know though, all it said in the epilogue was: "The people begged Hawke to lead them" or something.

Can I still destroy the Chantry and eventually destroy the Templars? Or is it after you pick a side?rumination888 wrote...
Side with the Templars and Cullen will silently usher you as the new Viscount.
P.S. Has anyone given the Relic to the Aarishok? I am curious as to how he will react because I still want to kill him.

If Alistair was made King, you'll get a letter at home asking to meet you at the Keep.

Good, so I can still put the horny bastard in his place.robwell wrote...
i gave the arishok the relic but he demands that he be able to take isabella back with him for punishment. at that point you can stand up for her resulting in a duel with the arishok.

can't become viscount unless you side with the Templars. Alistair will tell you when you ask for his support to be made viscount that it won't mean anything without Templar support.

You do rise to power. That's waht the advertising says. Rising to power doesn't simply mean you gain a crownAlexXIV wrote...
It's in the ending if you sided with the templars, and just a few seconds later it is mentioned that Hawke is gone. So I am not even sure if she accepted or how long she was Viscount, if so. Funny how the 'rise to power' consists of endless fighting and errand quests and then having to make a choice and the right choice to get even a potential power position mentioned in the epilogue. This game truely deserves an award for the most broken promises in advertising ever.
