Thats a pretty ignorant statement. Most devs never use the full power a console offers them. And I've seen PLENTY of PC titles that look alot worse than whats on a console.

Personally, I dislike consoles because so many games come out for them that I would like to play, but are either never released on PC, or released as a terrible console port. Even the porting wouldn't be so bad, except somewhere along the line, they remove the ability to even use a controller (which is clearly the way the bad port was designed to be played). So even if I do want to try to play the console port like its on a console, I can't.

But my computer is a monster and I love playing games I have on 360 and having like 1/4 the loading times, and massive scale like ArmaII.

Has nothing to do with bragging. You know not everyone purchase a porsche because he's superficial . Some people really love powerful and sophiscated vehicule. Computer gaming is a bit the same. Computer offer more depth than console. It's more complicated and also more expensive which make it a sub market for developper and the capitalist market.

When people think about video game. They always think about a t.v and a kids playing on it. They never imagine a full grown adult playing on a keyboard. Simply put .. It's not ''mainstream''.

I don't enjoy more PC game because it's more expensive. but because it's offer me what I love the most. I love playing on a keyboard and adding mod to my gaming experience. I love the open market it's offer. For instance gaming server run by people and not corporation. I also enjoy sitting in front of my monitor with my headphone pimping my favorite music while playing a game.

I can alt tab my game and pop a music video from youtube while playing or alt tab and troll people on BSN . Computer also offer much more variety . A gaming computer can play most game ever made for the PC. You don't need a specific console. it's offer much more customization , better user interface and higher fidelity.

Also yes there's plenty of bad looking game for PC .. But PC is a open MARKET. Which mean you don't need anything really special to create something outside of competence. So yes some people make bad thing .. but at least they can make something. Flash game etc would not exist without this open market or popular mod like counter-strike and dayz.

Console is very limited and all the right goes to just  a corporation. Yes you could say that most PC game run on Window, but Direct X is open source and they don't have to pay more fee to have it on pc. Microsoft gain sale regardless when they release a new API. Still remain open source.

Game like Dayz would never exist if it's was only for console. PC it's not just a snob toy.

and when they release bad port and treat us like second rate citizen ... Yes it's frustrating. Dark soul capped resolution was resolved the day it's was launched on PC by some fans.. Ever see something like that on console ?

Do you really want PC to dissapear and everything be corporation controlled ? If that day come.. I stop gaming. Period.

Just going by experience, and most Hardcore PC gamers I've met are some of the most arrogent, rude people I've ever met, up there with religious fanatics. Also bringing up DayZ with me wasn't a good Idea, because I believe with every fibre of my being it's the most boring piece of entertainment I've ever indulged in (Not a fan of the Arma Engine or controls Biggest waste of money my friends have ever made me buy)
You make some good points but, I started on Console,so that's just my default, Do I play PC games? Yes, my computer can handle some very good stuff. But this whole rivalry between Console Gamers and The PC Master Race, to me anyway, seems utterly pointless.
It's just a bunch of morons comparing D**k sizes IMHO.
So Can we all just grow up, and get along?

I do appreaciate the scale of it though, the controls combined with the PS1 animations pretty much killed any sort of enjoyment I may have found, I just bought it yesterday... I felt less ripped off when I payed $60 for DNF
