Searched for an answer and didn't see it.
If I add a Fire Rune (say a +4 fire) to my staff does it add to the "fire damage" from my standard ranged shot from my staff? Or is the Fire Rune just adding a +4 fire damage to a melee hit?
Thanks.

I might have to go in game and test this, but didn't want to waste the rune. I'll hold out a bit longer to see if anyone else has seen the effect yet.

It adds it to the standard ranged shot. There is no difference between a melee and ranged attack with a staff, except animation.

Very good to know, Taleroth, and thank you for the information. I wasn't sure if Bioware had made the melee a different type of attack or not (for mages).
