Hey guys I may seem super noob here but I think I'm on Act 3 and I haven't gotten Isabella yet. I'm also not sure how to tell which act is which,

act one is after you get to kirkwall act two is after the deeproads and act three is after the qunari attack and Isabella is in the hanged man so if you have gone inside at any point of the game witch you have to for quests she shoul;d be there.

I just checked and I actually don't see her there. Is that the only way to get her?

You can only get Isabela in Act 1.

First do 'A Business Decision' then 'Tranquility' and then enter the Hanged Man at night.

Think I'm in Act 3 as well, and I've never seen Isabella anywhere. Did all the quests up until this point, she never appeared for me in The Hanged Man.

She shows up in act 1 I took the merc route and she shows up in the Hanged man at night after doing Tranquility for Anders.

So shes unattainable after Act I.... bummer. Oh well, I suppose I'll have to play through a second time...

i did the entire game without her.... did everyquest in the game before new acts... but still i missed her and kinda pissed about that and also that i cant do my axiled prince now when im done either...

For some of the companions, you need to go to a specific place in act 1 to be able to recruit them. They wont show up as quests until you go to the chantry board to get Sebastian's scene ( if you have the Exiled Prince DLC ) , after which you can get his initial quest from the Chantry Board. Doing that quest opens up the option to get him as a companion. For Isabella, you have to go to the Hangman at night to get her intro scene, at which point she will ask you for help with her quest which leads to her availability a a companion.

Anders has to be in your party first, then go visit the Hanged Man.

Wasn't in there in Act 1 for me either.

Anders has to be in your party first, then go visit the Hanged Man.

Anders doesn't have to be in your party, you just have to have done his initial quests to get him as a companion, then go to the Hanged Man at night in Act 1.

isabella in act 1 if u go to hanged man just after starting act 1 go to hanged man a cut scene starts and u get all of the characters by act 1

Consider yourself lucky. In the epiloge I somehow ended up with her and I didn't even want that pure-aids-on-two-legs!

I had more trouble trying to find Isabella than with anything else in the game, I can't imagine why they made her that hard to find. Of course if you're a big Anders fan you probably did everything regarding him as soon as possible, and then you'd probably run across Isabella by accident if nothing else, but otherwise you're probably like me, you were in no hurry to do the Anders stuff, because you were more interested in finding Isabella, so you look and you look and you can't find her....because you havent done the stuff you dont care about yet. Its insane, and highly frustrating. Eventually after literally looking everywhere for hours, I finally quit playing, went to the forums, and happily found the answer. Finding a main character simply should not be that hard, especially when it doesn't make any sense at all. There's absolutely no logical reason for her to not be available until after you've met Anders, her personal quest has nothing to do with him whatsoever. She should be available the first time you go to the Hanged Man, simple as that. That was definitely one of the most frustrating parts of the game for me, I hope they learn from this and make DA3 companions easier to find.

Well now I'll have to admit that I didn't have any problems at all finding Isabella in all honesty even in my very first play through. As for Anders I'm not a big fan of his went through the 1st Act with Bethany as my Mage. I did do Anders quests just to do them and get them out of the way.<G> 

I think that my next play through I'm going to go through the game Mageless. Only thing for which I'm going to be using Anders, or Merril for is their quest other than that I'm leaving Anders at his clinic and Merril at home.
