I don't know if it's just me, but I'm seeing a complete lack of good 2 hand weapons from all the merchants I can find around kirkwall.  I'm even in the deep roads now, but I am using a 2 hander that does about as much dps as my best 1hand/shield weapon.  I have a nice bow, and I have some nice dual wielded weapons, but...my 2 hand (my main character) does the least dps in my group, not counting the healer.

You only find good 2H weapons early in the game from sidequests.
I've used Hayen's Rayzor for most of ACT I which you get from completing the demo.
