I'm playing as a Force Mage Hawke, but I am having quite a hard time beating the Rock Wriath boss in the expedition. Can anyone tell me what team mates to bring with me?

Any team mates will suffice, really. Just be sure to stand in the corners prematurely.

I kept my team spread out around the area but close to the pillars. It made it easy to never get hit by the massive area attack. It also minimizes the AE damage he will do if he charges one of your team mates.
My team was Force mage hawke, Merril, Carver, and Varick.

All I can really say is the H button is your friend. I positioned Varric and Anders close to the pillars at all times to avoid any of the AOE damage and the /rollingballofdeath. When the wraith spawns in the middle and summons the shades(?) I used alot of crowd control mechanics to stall them while I focused fired them down. Used 3 party members to focus fire the groups and Varric, being the beast he, is to kill the ones at a distance quickly.
Was the toughest fight for me and the most intense and tactical so far. Loved this boss fight.

Did you auto level your team mates? I did, will that be a problem? (I'm playing on normal btw)Rogue Relampago wrote...

No, I did not auto level my team mates. I'm not sure what abilities and stats the auto leveling feature gives you so I can not say for sure though. I played on normal as well. Also, I used very little healing. Nearly all the damage being taken was by my 2h tank, Carver. This is pretty much because of effective positioning and quickly destroying the additional monsters that spawn. Having two mages and Varick I was able to quickly destroy the spawns. The mages could each one shot the two adds that spawned by them with Cone of Ice spell.

Man this guy is hard, I got him to at most 2/3 health before I died. Gonna try to hold my teammates at the pillars so they don't die. (Anybody notice once he starts floating up, she gets Reaper-ish? The sound reminds me when Sovereign let its heat-ray loose on the Alliance fleet).

Make the artillery stand in semi-cover behind the pillars while the tank works the Wraith. When it balls up to either roll you over and/or blow up in your face, get out of the way.
When it drops down into restmode, quickly kill off all the adds that show up and then focus on the Wraith for some freebie hits.
Do this and maybe throw in a health potion or 3 and you'll do fine.

I got through this fight mainly by having 2 mages with the heal ability, and just rotated who was healing when and then kept using big area attacks.
Very tactical, I'm sure.

I did it as a warrior, but if I were a mage? I had Anders, Varric, Merril and me. So... With what you've got (Isabella rather than 2 hander warrior) I'd say pile her up his hine end and be ready to stop the combat to heal her/potion as needed. Get behind the rock formations before he blasts, get your Mabari out, and when the adds spawn let the others handle that while you heap out free hits on the boss. Or take control of Isabella and let HER heap them up since she can flank him with impunity in that mode.
