Hey guys.
When I tried installing the beta patch, there is a part in the installation which says that there is an error opening the dragonage2.exe file from the bin_ship folder for writing.
What's that all about?
<edit>
Rebooted, before doing anything else tried installing the patch, managed to instal without a problem. But DA2 still wouldn't launch. Was cheeky so tried reinstalling the patch and the same error came up, it couldn't open the exe file.

Hey, what about fixing the DX 11 mode, so it is actually playable? Any news on that?
I think we will see it. We just must be a bit patient and let them work on itI think they are already doing on it.
I set everytzhing to maximum except AA. I set it to 4x.
With these settings on Very High, i have decent frame rates and no black triangle tiles or blocky shadows in the top left quadrant of the screen.
So it's okay, i suppose.
But one should NEVER EVER release a game in such a state again.

What about a patch that fixes freezed companions, fixes stubborn companions that refuse orders, adds spirit healer tree to Anders and reduces the ridiculously long cooldown on the heal spell?

The patch did not resolve the:
EV#53094 – Some are failing silently after pressing Play.
User reports suggest this is resolved with the 1.01 BETA patch.
For Steam users unable to access the BETA patch, previous reports suggested that it might be tied to interference from AVG or other anti-virus software. Other reports suggest it might be related to graphics drivers
is there going to be another patch released that deals with this problem ?

Will the final release address any other issues, with the content of the game itself? Or will it just be these "meta-fixes"?

Bioware,
Thank you for patching the single core issue. I am sure some smart person at Bioware already figured this out but just in case here it goes. Bioware just took a game that went Gold in the first days of release, that was restricted to multicore processors only and made it available to pretty much any system with a decent video card. I am playing it on a system with a Windows Experience of 3.8 in medium graphics, full screen, 1366 x 768 video mode, with a Single core AMD Athlon II 170u processor and ATI Radeon 3000HD video card with 2 gig of ram.
Thank You

Well, downloaded the patch. It unlocked the load/save options which worked perfectly until the transition to Kirkwall, where the loading screen freezes up forever.
EDIT: Managed to get past the loading screen for Kirkwall, but it still seems to bug out every so often. Took me two tries to load a game without it crashing.

So Downloaded Dragon Age2 through EA Folder, Transition from steam to ea downloader was smooth and I was able to beta patch!
. So far everything is going great . I didn't encounter any freezes before Kirkwall or anything. Most i encountered was some voice stuttering but i'm almost 95% sure it was because I was in windowed mode having a conversation on facebook lol.

Don't know if this is a bug or not, it was rather hard to see if it was there before patching, but something not wirking. Just wanted to ask, if someone had this before the patch
When i'm talking with companions, when they have something to tell me, they don't say anything, it's just jumps right to the my answers. Not that it's really always hard to understand, what was it, that they were supposed to tell me, but sometimes...
So far, experienced that with Bethany and Merril, when there was something to talk to them for a second time.
