I just want to know when us Steam users will be able to play the game. Any indication of when the patch will be on Steam is appreciated.

I doubt this patch will fix this but hopfully down the line they will fix the issue with the mouse moving about 2-3 inches to the lower right in full screen. Works fine in windowed mode but reenable full screen and messes up again. I did get it fixed for a time by entering windowed mode then exiting and reloading the game full screen. But then I tried DX10 for high graphics and it seems to have messed up the mouse again. Please fix.

The tactic Use Item -> Any Potion simply does not remember the potion you set after zoning/switching your character in/out of your party. Makes this tactic mostly worthless. Was hoping you stealth fixed it, but you haven't.

Looks like I'm just going to have to pirate the game to get past the anti-customer activation thing. It should be the other god damn way around, Bioware and EA. Jesus Christ, how pointless DRM is.

Ok back to the mouse issue. It appears that when ever I have the full screen box checked the mouse always moves to the lower right about two inches from where I originally clicked. I've tried disable display scaling on high DPI settings, which didn't work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. No luck. I'm playing in DX9 at the moment, I can choose DX10 but the mouse becomes completly unresponsive. And I seriously doubt its a problem with my hardware as this worked just fine during the beta. Here's my specs if it matters.
Win 7 64 bit pro
AMD 965 3.4 ghz quad
8 gb ram
3 TB HDD
2 MSI Nvidia 285 gtx's with 1 gb ddr 3 ram each, running in SLI
1200 watt psu.

Could someone from BioWare explain what is different about a Steam-distributed game that we can't run this patch? I understand the "Steam doesn't allow beta patches" part, I want to know why this patch can't be coded to run against a steam install. I have about 6 gigs of data on my hard drive, it's not like the game lives on Steam.

Well .. I downloaded and installed it, seeing as I was having most of the issues listed .. and .. it's about the same. I seem to still get a HUGE peak in cpu whenever a conversation takes place, often freezing the game. I simply don't understand why this wasn't picked up in testing, seeing how common these spikes are and how often they've been reported. I have a very good PC and exceed the requirements for this game, but no, laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. It really is tiresome.
I only want to be playing the game I bought .. I'd enjoy it so much more if it performed consistantly.
Thanks for the speedy patch, all be it a beta patch - one that works and makes the game smoother would be better, no? Some testing on regular PCs might be a start ,,

Will this fix the random dx11 nvidia crashing?
gtx570 267.24 drivers & high res pack.
Nothing mentioned, but it should be fixed in a patch...
And is patching automated in da2? or do i need to manualy patch?
(the final release ones)
i got da1 from steam but bought da2 from ea store.

Happily I installed the game and launched it, silently. Yes, silently. Nothing happened.
I downloaded the 1.01 beta and made it launch successfully.
However, it was a VERY VERY BAAAAADDDDDDDDD experience. I have bought many
Bioware games, and never got so angy. How can you make a game that is not
'launch-able' at the first place. Incredibly irresponsible!!!!!

The patch fixed my inability to enter any menu, which also meant I couldn't save. Odd because I could manually save before I entered Kirkwall but couldn't inside.

Any chance that the patch fixes the Merrill's Mourning quest in ACT 2? Anyone tried to see if there is any difference if it is applied?

Is it safe to install this patch then since its a beta patch? Will it mess anything up or do I have to wait for some official patch? The only problem I am having out of those 4 is the non-existent drives issue.

I'm glad thay're patching the game up to what it should have been before it was released. I hope the rest of the patches come just as quickly considering how many bugs there are.

Will this patch fix the voice lag? I have that problem in the cutscenes, very annoying... At first i thought it was my comuter, but after some reseach i found out others have the same problem.
Anyways, thank you Bioware for acting so quick
