Not totally sure if this is the right section, but I figured it is considered part of my gameplay stragedy. In Origins there were a few places where you could buy up a bunch potions. Is there anywhere like this in DA2? that just has a bulk of potions waiting to be bought?
Is there anywhere you can buy a bunch of Health Potions?

Ordering potions allows you to get as many as you can afford, you need to find the right ingredients and recipes, however.
Elfroot Potions heal 80% and cost 38 silver each, but require you to have unlocked 1 elfroot. Easy enough.

Yea you have to make them if you want a lot. You can make as many as want whenever you want at your house.

I know that is out of topic, but what about the Lyrium Potions or Stamina Droughts ?
Do they have recipes as the Elfroot potions as well ?

There are vendors around kirkwall that, if you talk to them, will give you a recipe and tell you they'll make stuff for you (as I recall this is what happens, I'm at work...). Once you've done that, you'll have unlocked the crafting table at home, which you can select and tell to make items, if you've found the appropriate resources.
I hope that makes sense. I'm a little brainfried this afternoon.

You can stop by at your house. If you are still at Gamlen's House. You can't make potions. Just Runes for now. Press and hold "TAB" and you will find "Order Runes" for Runes, "Order Potions" for potions and "Order Grenades" for explosives. You can only order runes at Gamlen's house. You can find a woman at the top of the Lowtown at the area of the "Lowtown Bazar" where you can "Order Potions". You can seek Tom at the "Darktown" for explosives.
IF you are now in Hawke's Estate after the expedition, You can make them at your house near Hawke's mother beside the fire.

I don't think that's correct. Once you talk to the people you mentioned, you can then use the table at Gamlen's house. At least that's how it worked for me. I've made elfroot potions and the other kind (restoration potions?) that refresh both health and stamina/mana.

The herbalist once you complete the quest sells potions iirc. I think I bought some from a mage vender in the market as well.

Check all the tabs in all the vendors in game: if I remember right several had potions for sale. You can also craft your own at your house as long as you talk to the potion guy, think he's on the Docks. All three crafting stations (Runes, Potions, Poisons/Grenades) are available pretty much the second you reach Kirkwall.
EDIT: double-checked for myself and there are potions available from Sol's Potions in Gallows and the Black Emporium at least. Likely to be others as well, just make sure you're looking in the potions tab.

Ordering is the same as buying just there is a set area for doing so like at your home makes thing more easier then searching for merchants. I would make them then buying from merchants that is if I really needed to seeing as they drop alot. There is enogth supplie for me from loot most of time I hardly spent any money on potions. There are a few mechants about that sell small supply of them. Also you don't need so many you can only heal like once per battle really on each person involved.
