Varric, Merrill, and Bethany are awesome. Aveline is Ok. The rest have good banter every now and then, but Anders ill kill every game can't stand him. Fenris is a bit of a man **** but not enough i want him dead (o well i thought he would have been my favorite before the game came out).

I like Aveline, Merril and Varric a lot. Isabela is also quite likeable. Fenris and Sebastian are okay. And I can't stand Anders, at all.

Varric and Merrill.

Merrill seems to have been demonically designed to hook you and reel you in as the "awww, cute" virginal damsel in distress. Even her smallest gestures make you go "awww" and seem to activate some ancient paleolithic mechanism halfway between a throbbing Nelson and a brotherly hug.

Nice job Bioware.

Hands down Varric. Bioware really nailed it when it comes to creating a likable character in him. Everyone else... meh. I would have said Anders but certain events in act 3 of the game made me lose all liking for him.

The first time I heard Varric's VO I said to myself, "Man, this dwarf is going to be an awesome character".

Too bad BioWare had to give him a crossbow, because I hate crossbows. Crossbows are for girls.

Other than that, oddly, don't much care for the rest of them, except Bethany. I was devastated when a certain something happened to her.

Varric. Good character development and good voice acting. He also looks badass, especially with Bianca.

I haven't played far enough to really give a fair opinion, but I was looking forward to Varric and he has not disappointed. So far I'm totally diggin the dwarf.

I thought the same thing when I heard that he would have a crossbow. But then I actually saw what the crossbow looked like... Much lulz were had. Epic crossbow.

Varric is great by default I think. I lost Isabella, so I can't really say much about her. I actually liked Merrill and Aveline quite a bit.

Meh, Isabella is just a flinty, leathery wh*re, IMO.

Which is more or less what Bioware was going for, so again, me reacting this way to her just shows the level of writing.

I'm really loving Merrill, Varric, and Isabella. Merrill for her blinding neon-light 'dumb blond' syndrome. She's like Leliana squared. Varric is self-explanatory. Isabella for her wonderfully crude sexual humor (I died in Isabella's conversation with Leliana in the Chantry). Surprisingly enough, I even like Aveline, who I originally wrote off as someone I wouldn't care for. Her 'love-quest' sold me. Not too crazy about Fenris, since he's essentially Edward Cullen with pointy-ears. I despise Carver and Anders.

Merrial Varric are the top. Isabella and Bethany are next. Anders has moments, but I'm still not to happy with his direction from Awakening. Fenris and Avaline haven't gotten to much face time with me so far, though Avaline's act 2 quest comes very close to making it totally worth it. Carver has been annoying my mage nearly from the get go. Don't have Sebastian so can't place him just yet.

I like Varric best. I'm usually not a fan of dwarves in general but I can't help but like Varric. Merrill is great with certain other members. Fenris irritates the heck out of me and I told him to get lost during my 2nd playthrough. Sebastian would be alright for me except for his holier-than-thou attitude at times.
