Not sure if these have been addressed/will be addressed yet.
In Act 3 there is a side quest called, Who Need's Rescuing, that just won't start nomatter what.
Also, I've checked my Hawke's stats randomly in Act 3 and noticed he has a negative 5 percent damage resistance when he has no damage resistance increasing or decreasing abilities or items active.
Also, I know Hawke's badass and all, but I've never seen him take an injury once despite being KOed.
Unable to finish Act 3 Quest, also negative damage resistance, and lack of Hawke Injuries

All of these are known issues.
The second one, however, we could use as much information as you can provide on the issue. We've seen this one other time but are unsure what is causing it currently. Things like current class and specializations for instance.

For the second issue:
It was during Act 3 when I first noticed it. It was my first playthrough, and I finally bothered trying to optimize my Two-Handed Warrior setup with all the runes, abilities, and stats using the Maker's Sigh potion from the Black Emporium. After I finished respeccing, and I went out to buy some quality accessories from the Nexus Golem's wares in Sundermount, I discovered that my Hawke's damage resistance was only 2 percent when he had a ring that gave him +7 percent damage resistance.
Eventually, I narrowed the moment where the problem began to a tiny section in Act 3 where I left the Estate after saving and respeccing, and going to someplace that wasn't the Gallows while the Last Straw quest was activated. I believe it was that the moment I went anywhere out of the Hawke Estate, I acquired the -5 damage resistance, (in my case, I had gone to Sundermount).

This has just happened to me in my game. I kept playing for quite a while then I finally begin to notice my character attacking slowly, while the game performance was still stable. When I checked my stats my damage resistance is -34%. I am male warrior: Templar/Reaver with points in BattleMaster, Warmonger and Weapon and Shield.

Currently have -35% damage resistance (naked).
Act 3. Just about to finish "Best Served Cold". Just completed my Champion Armor. Male Warrior.

Think it has something to do with the Party Selection Screen, did a few tries on a situation where I noticed my Damage Resistance went from -25% to -30%. (only in game influence I can think of with anything to do with 5% Damage Resistance is Sebastian's Friend bonus, might be something to look into)
Was on the quest Gamlen's Greatest Treasure.
Going from Smetty's Fish Guttery to The Sink.
If I enter any of the Party Selection Stations before I continue to The Sink I get the extra -5% Damage Resistance when I exit it.

This thread solved my issues, until a formal fix comes our way in the form of a patch.

Specifically ParasiteX's fix is the one that worked best for me.
They dont talk much about the negative damage resistance but it is easy to edit from the utility as well.

I too also have negative damage resistance. And any time I die I do NOt have injury. This started from the begining of teh game during the prologue. The Bug gets worse the further into the game you go, Every time one of my companions gets there "freind/Rival" bonus regardless of what it is I get an additional -5% I'm up to -35% right now.. Grandted I'm playing in Nightmare as a mage and still owning but still, if I was playing a tank I'd get owned with that much -damage resistence, and I'm not even done with chapter 2. Also unable to find any fixs for it on the web, tried dying solo, ina gruop and manually rezzed all while naked doesn't matter. Since I religiously save I tracked it down to the VERY beggining...kinda sad such a majopr bug is in the game from release. I also played the demo, but that was a diffrent save folder and everything and I uninstalled it prior to installing this game.
My system spec's shoudln't be needed as this is a programming issue.

Check here for a more accurate fix to the problem. Its still a temporary measure as you have to occasionally re-correct it evertime you switch out Isabella or Sebastian in your party.

I'm having the same issue. Others are also I would assume but perhaps they don't look at their resistances. I know I didn't until I saw this thread. At any rate, I believe this guy has it nailed. http://social.biowar...0/index/6820455
I tested it as well and am getting -5% Damage Resistance each time Sebastian joins and leaves the party once he has Man of the Cloth. I'm using a shadow/assassin rogue if that matters.
