Maybe i'm wrong, but I clearly remember Bioware always saying Hawks story takes place over a decade.  However, if you add up all the years in the game, its no more then 7 or 8 years at most.  And what really anoyed me is the banter among the companions constantly referenced them only being in the city for six years (even in the last act of the game).

I well and truly enjoyed the game, but I think Bioware missed a huge opertunity to change the city as time passes.  The city is completely stagnant.  While factions change, and characters change, the city itself never looks any different.  None of the parts of the city either improve or get worse, and even companion homes never change.  You would think Merrill or Fenris would at some point try and clean up.  I really wish your actions had a direct impact on how the city looked.
