SPOILER ALERT:
So, I'm fighting my way through a pack of heathens in Kirkwall, and who should appear? That royal bastard, Alistair, whom I saved from a life of misery as king so that he could remain a Grey Warden. When I saw him, I got choked up. I wanted to say, "take me with you, Alistair, I want to go on YOUR adventure." But of course, I am no longer a grey warden and I cannot go. I felt so sad as he and my sibling went off to a place I could not be it was hard to keep playing the game.
Didn't think it was possible to miss a pixelated character that much. Anyone else homesick for Ferelden? I long for the constant smell of wet dog and the feel of heavy boots on my feet again.

Yup, when I met up with the Wardens when the Qunari were attacking and you heard the Ostagar theme (I think?) I wanted to just ditch Kirkwall and kill some darkspawn. Actually in that scene its just Stroud if you didn't have Alistair stay with the Wardens I think.
Just in general, I think some of the best moments of the game are when it calls back in Origins and the Warden. Makes me want to play Origins more than anything.

All of it made me miss Origins so much, only way I wouldn't be able to cope with it, if I heard Oghren laughing somewhere, I would been that's it, Screw you Hawke, Screw you.

First, yes this is a necro. Second, yes I miss Ferelden and the Wardens in general. Third, I thought Sten of Beresaad was the most monotonous sounding piece of voice acting ever (not saying he wasn't great). Fast forward to DA2, I was wrong.

You do get an option to tell Varric you might leave Kirkwall in the future, but you suffer -10 approval if you do. I felt like I was being pushed into staying in Kirkwall.

Not homesick for Ferelden but once I started meeting DA:O characters in and around Kirkwall I kept wondering why there wasn't an option for Hawke to just pick up and leave.

My Amell spent enough money in that place that I'm pretty sure all of the workers there by now have small fortunes and live in Condos in the palace district.
And still pines for her darling dwarf tranny.
