I read about finding out that Gamlen has a daughter and reuniting them, but I didn't see anything to that effect in Act 1. Is it an Act 2 quest?

Okie, I didn't miss a quest. I was a bit past the beginning of Act 2, and was contemplating going back to pre-Expedition to get that one.
