First let me say, I am LOVING the game so far. I've run into a couple of problems though. 1 of them I see lots of people having (trouble reading drive A) but it doesn't interfere with my ability to play so it's no big deal.
My second problem however is I cannont seem to buy armor or weapons for any of my companions, except a couple of things. Everything else practically says it is restricted to my character. Is this normal?
Any help is appreciated.

Normal? It is for Final Fantasy X and Mass Effect 2, and now for Dragon Age, so yeah, sadly I guess not being able to customize your party's appearance is now 'normal' because there used to be a game called Dragon Age Origins that let you do it, but now there are no such games anymore.
