 While playing DA2, it tends to crash every few hours, give or take. It happens no matter what graphical setting I use(although its more prone to happen in DX11 than DX9). And when it crashes, each time it pops up an error message. This is that message:

"Display Driver amdkmdap stopped working and has successfully been recovered."

So it seems its an issue with my display driver, but my drivers are all up to date, and my card is an ATI Radeon HD3850 512 MB, which is the recommended card for the game so it should work just fine.

I normally play the game on DX9 with medium settings and 4x AA. I get a pretty smooth framerate, so I'm not sure whats causing the problem. I tried a lot of graphics combinations, from putting them to their highest, and to their lowest, but it will still crash and give me that error message regardless of what I try.

Any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem, My graphics card is a little different. But for me, i crash a couple of seconds after the the opening fight starts.
