Hello to all,

I am having an issue with the final boss of the game. Let me just go ahead and mention that I bought the game through Steam and have also posted this on the Steam forums in hopes to get something answered.

Alright, so here we go. I am at the final boss and it seems to be glitching on me, or at least what I can assume is glitching on me. I enter Phase 1 just fine, but when she enters Phase 2 and summons one of the statues the statue itself walks to the center of the room and just stands there and does nothing. I can still attack it and it takes damage, but once about 99% of its health is gone, the health stops depleting. And I am just stuck attacking the target without any progress, and it won't even attack back at me. I tried re-loading my save and even re-loading the game and going as far as restarting my computer (long shot, but I figured "try everything I could think of"). Nothing seemed to work. 

So I went to Youtube to look up videos of other people playing this fight and saw some things that were different than what I have seen. To begin, right at the beginning of the fight the second statue is already down and standing off to the side, just looking at the battlefield. It continues to do this when the actual Phase 2 starts. Another thing I noticed is the mini-statues are all up and moving in place on my file, something that I did not see in the Youtube video I saw. Grant it, the Youtube video I saw was for 360, but I wouldn't think something like that would be different cross console. So I re-loaded an earlier file to check to see if it was just a glitch with that save file, and when I got to the Gallows after fighting through the city, the statues are up and moving in place like I saw in the fight, even during the conversation between Meredith and First Enchanter.

This problem really has me confused and is keeping me from finishing the game. Someone on the Steam forums said it was a scripting glitch and that they got through it by just not attacking right off the get-go and it worked just fine. So I tried this and it was still messing up on me. I don't know if this is a problem with the PC version itself or just the fact that it was on Steam and is an issue with Steam itself running the game (hence why I am posting on both forums just in case). Any info/advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I just want to finish my game! *cry*

Also for anyone who reads this, I just got an email back from EA support with this very same post that I sent them for help, and they said that they can't do anything and I should refer to the forums...thanks EA

I have the exact same problem as you do Srimoki. Restarted the game and tried again from last save file and the problem was still there. It can't possibly have anything to do with the cheats since I haven't used them once as I've played. I wonder what causes it....

This appears to be a Steam only issue that we're looking in to.

I'm playing from a disk, and I can't defeat Meredith. I get her life bar down to just about 1% and it just stays there no matter what I do. I can't kill her, and finally all my party and my pc dies. What is this, another bug? The rest of my game played perfectly with no glitches, so I suspect this is some kind of bug. Oh, and I killed the Statue just fine, but then Meredith came back and there's nothing I can do with her.

Anyway, I've just wasted about 40 hours of game play if I can't finish the game

I tried reformatting the game files using Steam upon a suggestion from the Steam forums and this did not work. I then tried copying my save file over to my laptop and running it there and the same issue happened. That is the best feedback I can give at this moment to hopefully help in the discovery of a resolution to this issue. If there is anything else I can offer to help with the founding of a solution, I will be more than happy to do so.

I am having the Meresith 0% and not dying issue. I enjoyed DA2 but honestly, the quality of the game re: bugs is reall reall bad for a develper such as Bioware. I'm terribly dissapointed and very scared for future games I was excited about from Bioware.

I get meredith to about 15% then her health wont go any lower, whats more is that MY health wont go down either, so the rest my my party is dead while im fighting and endless battle between two immortals :s
