Ok, I just got out of the darkroads and they killed my damn sister!! WTF! Beth has been my main healer from the start and she was doing awesome!! Now I have to use a half-ass ex-warden or a retarded Elf?? For those who took Bethany with them into the darkroads and lost your healer, who are you using as a back-up? Mages need not respond if you are the healer. I'm using Avaline, Varric, and myself as a DW Rogue. Thoughts?

If you had brought the "half-ass ex-warden" you could have saved her.

I used Mage Hawke/Anders as healers personally.

If you took Anders to the Deep Roads, or better yet left Bethany in town, she survives. If you left her in town you still lose her till the end, but she does come back. Until then? Anders is probably the best healer you'll find. Merril is a DPS goddess, so skip her in that role. Either way Bethany is gone. Just have to pick how she's gone.

I didn't even know you could make Merrill a healer. I thought she didn't have the requisite talent trees.

I've been using Anders as a healer. His special abilities are nice, but it meant I had to make nice with him and then watch him do something horrible late in game.

Merill doesn't have access to the Creation tree, you are correct.
