Where can I increase my inventory space?  In DA:O you could buy backpacks but I cant find any in DA2.  What am I missing?

There are backpacks in DA2. I've found two in act 1, both purchased from merchants (one in high town, one in low town, if I remember correctly).

Found 3 so far, like Veonim said you just have to search the merchants. Can't remember exact merchants, but they are there.

Merchants inventory will change as you progress through the levels and quests so you may want to check them regularly.
