The copy-pasted dungeons, the horrible dialogue, the mere illusion of choice, the poor pacing, the lazy graphics.
But no, anyone who dislikes a game made by your favourite devs is automatically a troll.

Nope, I don't feel sorry for Bioware. They deserve this backlash for the game they decided to make, and for calling this "Dragon Age 2" and not referring to this as a spin-off title (like Fallout New Vegas), which is what it should have been. They've made just as many design mistakes as the marketing team have made trying to promote the game and they need a good kick in the arse for this.
This is true. If it was called "DA: some generic BS" I probably wouldn't be as pissed.

I wouldn't discredit all negative feedback as "4chan trolls". I've read many legitimate complaints that have been presented in a constructive manner. Just because some people are disappointed with the game and you happen to be enjoying it doesn't make them wrong, it's simply a difference of opinion.
Great answer! I share that!!

Stop crying and marginalizing the real critics of this game, because I'll give you a little hint: There are SERIOUS problems with this game and if Bioware ignores that then they do so at their own financial peril.

Exactly. The composer stated EA rushed it to capitalize on DA:O's success. Big mistake apparently. Now they're angry over the negative reviews the game is receiving. Should have thought about it. EA didn't think about it long term. They only see short term - quick buck. The long term consequence of this rush job is that they've lost a lot of future customers for DA:3 or even ME:3 after seeing what the short development cycle resulted in. Sorry to say it, but you guys just shot yourselves in the foot. You're gonna have to really listen to the fans now if you want to make a profit off of DA3. Bioware/EA will have to redeem themselves after this critical failure. And it doesn't bode well for ME3 whose development cycle is relatively shorter than ME2's which was mediocre compared to ME1. Bioware's got lots of work to do. Stuff to make up for.

Exceptionally well put.

Bugs, I can't finish the goddanged quests..
I enjoy it, but their other games have been much stronger.
I want my bugs to be fixed so I can play DA2. :/

However, I don't feel sorry for the guys at Bioware at all. A big part of the problem with DA2 is undoubtedly due to EA's influence, and Bioware joined with EA of their own accord. (They try to ruin every company they gobble up.)
In the end, even though I like the game more than most other people seem to, I think this negative feedback is good for Bioware. In the past few years they have gotten too big for their britches and they need to be reminded that they are not Flemeth - they are mortals like the rest of us.

How can you say it hasn't had proper development time? What are you basing this on? The fact that the first took 5 years? The only reason that happened is cause they had so little funding and even less man power. Now that EA is behind them they have so much money of course the games are gonna be completed faster.Dirty **** wrote...
I feel sorry for BioWare for being FORCED to release a game before it had proper development time.

They worked hard to deliver us this great RPG sequel just to have metacritic and their forums flooded with 4chan trolls who pirated the game and are now claiming it's garbage. This same crap happened when Mass Effect 2 was released too I remember.
Bioware is my favorite game development company by far and I hope this negative backlash doesn't hurt morale over at Bioware.
I know it's not a forum policy but I really think Chris, and Stanley need to start banning people who talk trash about Bioware and their games. I come to these forums as a fan to discuss my love of Bioware games with other fans. Giving these haters free reign creates a hostile atmosphere for those who wish to talk about these great games in peace.
People who get banned from the forums ceratinly should not lose access to their game as what has reportedly been happening but 99 percent of these critics probably pirated the game anyways so it doesn't really matter in that case.
yeah... it's a conspiracy, better get mulder and skully on the case *rolls eyes*

no ma'am, I'm not buying the "EA=money=faster development time" argument on this one.
