Now, now. These forums are not suited for that. But male elves are very breathtaking. In so many ways. Says this human woman.

And she's not a tart. Human males are quite boring, elven males..., are not.

Yes, humans seem to be in agreement there, we've seen that unhealthy fascination in the city elf origins video. :P

You say 'unhealthy', I say envigorating. Besides, my ranger won't force herself on an elf, you know....

One problem the elves have is that they are probably just as racist as any human. Even though many elves are slaves, I bet they look down on and despise humans for being inferior culturally and genetically.

In other fantasy fiction, elves are often seen as aloof creatures who try their best to shut out other races from their realms. In all likelihood, the DOA city elves have just the same attitude. It is just their realm is a slum in a human city rather than a magical forest kingdom. In other fiction, the elves are seen as noble, but this is always from a position of strength and relative prosperity.

The elves live in their alienages apart from humans. But I bet they do that because they prefer to be like that. In all truth, the elves do not want to embrace human culture and may prefer to remain an underclass in human society while retaining their own religion and traditions, rather than give up their own culture and integrate in, what they regard as an inferior human society.

Can the elves rise again? Perhaps, but this would probably happen in the contemporary DOA world if they gain support from an influencial source, such as a successful Grey Warden for instance who may support the Elven cause. So the PC could potentially have a significant impact on the rise or further fall of the elves by using their influence and power to support or undermine them.

it will be interesting to see if the game addresses this.
