So, after some angry rivalmance sexytimes (what can I say, I love a good doomed-to-fail romance), my apostate, Jubilee, was towing Mr. "I Hate Mages...Mostly" Fenris, and I saw this:



How cute is that? (The Hawke family crest, for those who don't realize, lol)

Also, kudos to Bioware for making the rivalmance possible. (With Jubilee, he was almost all the way on the rivalry scale.) And kudos to surprising me with that whole scene, and how it went down. Uh, no pun intended, really. Was not expecting sex at all at that time, regardless of the fact that I picked the flirt option.

And kudos for not having to pick every flirt option every single time, either.

Wearing Hawke's crest is an adorble sign that displays that Fenris is yours. He also wears a red hankerchief around his right wrist probably as a momento to your relationship

I noticed the hankerchief as well and wasnt sure what it was.

In as few spoilers as possible...no.

But as I said in the OP, I pretty much expected it was doomed to fail from the start xD;; And I think it's handled very well as far as mentions of you two and...how your non-relationship relationship continues, lol. If that makes any sense.

I'm trying to keep it to "mild" spoilers as I said in the thread title And I haven't finished the game yet, so I don't know how it all ends (but I suspect it won't be rainbows and kittens. In fact I'm hoping it's not. xD)

Yeah, I actually let Jubilee continue flirtation with Anders for awhile after...things happened but by the time she got around to it, the old boy was getting a tad...odd.

So she passed on that idea xD

do companions who moved in actually do anything? besides standing around? you still have to go back to their old campsite to activate quests so it's kinda a bummer

Actually, Anders doesn't don the black robe until you finish his "Justice" personal quest, and I'm pretty sure that wardrobe change has nothing to do with love and more to do with foreshadowing his future deed. Reminds me a bit of Johnny Cash, the "Man in Black." Someone asks, "What's with the black? You look like you're going to a funeral." And he replies, "Maybe I am."

I honestly didn't notice anything change in his appearance after either sexy time or his officially moving in. Then again, I'm not the most observant person when it comes to stuff like that.

This is definitely true.  Anders for me went black but I didn't romance him.

Yeah, I was "meh" on the character design. But take one doomed-from-the-start romance (smart-mouthed apostate with a great value for personal freedom + bitter mage hater) and add DAT VOICE, and, well....

Hahah, so true.  I was determined to play a rogue, but after reading up about how you can still romance bitter rivals, I couldn't help but go with mage Hawke and Fenris.
