I was so excited when I heard DA2 was coming out - I've played the first one to death!

However, when the demo came out and I played it... well I was a little disappointed, but I thought "It's just a demo."

Now that the game is out, I've been reading all the user reviews everywhere (Gamespot, metacritic, etc...) and on these forums... and all excitement faded from me.  I haven't even wanted to pick up the game I've already paid for...

I can already tell from the very detailed reviews and my experience with the demo that I am not going to be happy with this game.  Why did Bioware do this?  It was so simple... you had an awesome premise and an awesome game.  Update the graphics a bit, make a new story, add a few new things - instead it appears that you completely gutted DA2 of everything that made the first one great, and tossed out a game that none of the originals fans like.

Dayum shame, Bioware.

Anyways, might as well pick it up, as I've already bought it.  Going to play it myself and see if it's as bad as everyone says it is... hoping for the best but planning on the worst.

Definitely try it yourself before believing what an online review says, who knows you might enjoy it.

I'll be honest, I'm a big fan of Origins and I'm currently enjoying DA2 quite a bit. The combat is just as deep (and much more fluid), the visuals are improved, albeit slightly, and the characters are pretty damn great.

It's not a masterpiece (so far), but it's certainly not bad either.

Good luck with that, just keep in mind that while it's a terrible sequel, it's a perfectly serviceable (if rushed) spinoff.
