So, I am playing my first playthrough as a Dagger Rogue. I like having Aveline in my party at all times as a decent tank. I just finished the darkroads and lost my healer to the damn darkspawn plague of death. So now I dont know what to do. I don't really like Anders as he's a ****** and I'm not gonna enjoy him at my back.....
So now I need to know if this can be completed without a dedicated healer if I have a tank and 3 rogues (myself, Isabela, and Varric) going together. Will not having a healer/mage make later fights much more difficult?
Healer, or no healer.

I'd say you don't need a dedicated one, but with huge potion cooldowns you could run into problems. I have Anders... and he does healing and buffing.

You can always kite them in a circle if your cooldown isn't reset. It's a silly trick but it works if you wanna stay alive.

There is a mod you can get which will shorten the potion cool down to 5 seconds. I didn't use it because you can't use the dog from the black emporium if you do. The cooldown on potions is really unreasonable considering how limited the healing is.

Hard mode is easy without a healer. Utilize your other defensive abilities, make sure you aren't blindly putting level up points everywhere, and set up the appropriate tactics for your companions. I never needed to kite anything, and I only ever needed to bring Anders in for Nightmare mode,

You may seriously want a healer for Nightmare...if you're that concerned about Anders being all ****** on you, then well.....don't romance him? Simple solution. ....or make a spirit healer mage

I've been playing through Nightmare with a dagger rogue (up until just recently to try out archery), Varric, Merril, and Aveline. It's gonna be micro-intensive but it's definitely possible, you're also gonna need to make excessive use of choke points to keep as much on Aveline as possible.
