I have a warrior sword/shield. level 13. What is the best gear I should be using, sword/shield, armor all that? I looked on wiki for DA:O when I played that and it was nice but there isn't a lot of info out there about DA2. If anyone is around my level or already been there what is the best stuff?
I am wearing the full set of The Fallen armor and using the Fadeshear sword and loins shield atm. I saw a chest piece of King Something and it cost 100gold. It looked nice but that would take all of my money lol. Anyways any help would be nice thanks.
On a side note I just leveled up and that Fadeshear sword stats didn't change at all. I just now started using it because I forgot to unlock it when I started but whats the deal with this sword? It only gets better every so often or what?

About the sword, yes it gets better every level. Nice idea, because that sword looks good. I wish there was more equipment like that.

I used the King of Something armor until I got my Champion set. My sword was Markham Hand Stomper or something. Might have been Desmodanas Sword. Shield was River's Wave with Helmet of the Fallen and Stone Hammer Boots. I forgot my gloves.

By inserting a damage rune into a weapon which grows with level, the rune itself increases it's damage along with the weapon.

From what I encountered the best equipment usually came from main plot bosses or vendors as far as weapons went, with armor, I had the fallen armor and then upgraded to the Stonehammer(?) armor that you get from minor bosses on plot quests and companion quests although you might have to buy one of the pieces I can't remember. The black emporium has some good stuff but its expensive and you can do better or just as good from looting. The gallows armor/weapon vendors have some good stuff too. Overall the best bet I think is to do all the side quests and stuff before doing the main plot quests that way you won't miss anything.

On a side note did anyone else think that the champions helm should have been called Hawke's Beak or something lol.

It gets better with every level? Wierd because I leveled up 12 to 13 and checked its stats before and after and they were the same. It is just 3 stars also. Does it only rank up every few levels or what? Like I said before I forgot to unlock it until just now so I  only had it for 1 level.

I am not sure if it gets better every level, but I remember when I first got it the dps was around 30 and it was +20 against demons and then the next time I looked at it a few level ups later it was almost 40 dps and + 29 against demons.

Ring of No Wishes and there's an amulet that prevents flanking. The Ring gives immunity to crits and stuns, Those two items alone are absolutely amazing, and if I remember correctly, only cost around 50 or so gold, which was incredibly easy for me to accumulate that much throughout the game.

I know there are certain skills you can take to get similar effects back if you want the slot, but the ring is pretty decent even without the immunities, and if you take the ring and amulet, you can focus on other skills that give your warrior more substance. Sadly I can't remember right now where I got either of them.

Armor wise, that King Something armor (I know what you're talking about) is actually pretty good, but I've seen other armors that cost only 50 or so gold in shops and they still aren't all that bad compared to the armor you're talking about.

Anything from the Black Emporium is a total sham. Way overpriced for crap you replace for free. Honestly, drop your lions shield for The Shield With Her Name (don't give it to Aveline, keep it for yourself) Drop Fadeshear for ANYTHING that has more stars (3 stars = basic equipment. Fadeshear is never a good sword. It's a meh sword for the entire game.)

Pick up the Stonehammer armor slowly but surely from plot devices (chestpiece is bought for 11g after you beat the Arishok, the other 3 pieces are in act 2) Then as soon as you hit act 3, either skip Stonehammer entirely and go for Champion (since Champion is the best armor in the game and totally free) or.... well, find something different.

Edit: I may have been unfair on the Black Emporium, but its still true. The only items WORTH the over-priced cost, is the stat increase items, the recepies, and MAYBE the rings.  Though 80g for a 1% xp increase and bad sats is not worth it.  The only item I really like is the Maker's sigh, because for 1g it resets EVERYTHING.  Even stupid skills you were stuck with in the start that you don't want (ie, I got rid of mind blast on my mage)

Where do you get that shield you are talking about? I don't use Aveline so I would keep it for myself. I am using the Red Earth Long sword you get when you do the quest to get revenge on verrics brother. I can't find any good shields. Other than that I am planning on finding all the StoneHammer armor. I bought the dull brass amulet and the fallen star because they both give +1 to all stats.

I am using the fallen armor, but it's incomplete since I missed the helmet when I had the chance =/
I see people picking up the stonehammer and others just going for the champion set. I also have the Markham Head Stomper and the darkspawn shield. I'm kinda in the same situation as Demented =/

I think, if you don't have Fadeshear equipped when you level up, it doesn't level up with you.

King Something the Forgotten Armor is the best plate imo for a warrior. It just costs a boatload.
