 After what Anders did to the Chantry, I wanted know part in conflict. I though both sides were pretty corrupt if anything. The Qunari have a better solutions like chaining the Mages. It is magic that started this whole debacle in the first play anyway. In a way, the Tevinters, the Mages, started the whole problem in the first place. Magic has been nothing but trouble.

Edit: And it's impossible for a Qunari to be coruptbable because they're too heavily devoted in their religion. They're too selfless unlike the Templars.

Me! I wanted to side with the Arishok! D;

It would have been awesome, following the Qun, because my warrior would have hated both mages and templars. D<

First off this is the spoiler free forum.

Second off, yes. The Arishok was awesome and was the victim from many different groups.

Uhhh, no one's chaining me or my sister, screw that. I had sympathy for the Arishok, because Kirkwall is a cesspit and the Circle/Templars are disfunctional everywhere, but the Qun's solutions, and its rabid lack of choice leading to huge numbers of defections don't make it a good replacement option.

Actually if you paid attention to the title of the forums, this is one of the spoiler forums, so incorrect there.

As for the original topic, I am sort of split in half here. On one side I can see how such strict devotion could prevent things like what happened from occuring, but at the same time I feel that if the Templars and Chantry hadn't acted in the manner they had (Ruling with fear out of fear), many mages probably wouldn't feel the need to become blood mages or try to revolt.

This debate ultimately comes down to the fact that both the Qun and the Chantry are religions, and both in real life and in fiction religions are ultimately a faith that the people place in a higher power or calling, and like in real life often the actions of religions lead to unrest and conflict. This is proven in the endings, and will likely be a big part in any expansion or the next game in the series as Thedas at this point is probably undergoing a massive cultural and religious overhaul with the Chantry breaking apart and losing its power.

It was probably relocated. (:

Mmm kinda. I didn't mind my already present choices and am unsure what exactly I would've gained from siding with them.

After I learned more about the Qun, I thought it was a bunch of bull. Being born to do a role with no choice? I'm just picturing the Qunari leaders being a bunch of fat cat pricks sitting contently on top of their tyranical caste system of varying degrees of suppression. The Qun offers certainty? was a load, There is no certainty in life in my opinion.

Bunch of intolerant sexist brooding giants who suck all the fun and excitement from life if you ask me.

That's because theya re brainwashed most likely from birth. What a horrid way to live - a life with no thoughts of your own where are you just a puppet of your masters? I'll pass. And, they have no problem committing mass murder, or suicide simply because their 'qun' demands it. You can't get any more religiously fanatic than that.
