I think it foretells of the fallen Archdemons resurrection for a world-wide Blight, Orzammar and Kal Sharok are destroyed, the Chantry collapses, and the Grey Wardens die off. Elvhen tribes are annihilated, and Humanity perishes along with the Qunari. only Nugs will survive.

All hail the sacred Nug!

I haven`t read all 10 pages but maybe the "he" is Sandal himself.

When you've got Sandal at Hawke's estate, keep clicking on him. Like over and over again.

Eventually he busts out the big boy vocabulary and sounds like he prophesizes the "change" that Morrigan mentions in Witch Hunt and Flemeth in DA2. Old God Baby returning, anyone?

"One day the magic will come back. all of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The shadows will part and the skies will open wide. When he rises, everyone will see"

REALLY ! He says this!!. Hmmmmm maybe there is something to what the Dalish say. If you pay attention in DA2 Merrill says that all her people had the gift once. And you hear through the gossip in the town that there are many more mages being born than there used to be. Interesting....

"The Age of Valheru is near and all will bend and bow or they will break, only the son, the one born of witch and taint and dragon will rise against those of horns and demons, two hidden but known will join the son and burn the world anew"

thats the idea for DA 3

I wonder if this is related to the wolf tale told by Merrill by any chances, especially that part about the everyone will be just like they were.

I can't believe I missed this thanks for the topic TC. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Wait, I just had an epiphany right when I was about to click submit. Well, not really an epiphany more like a funny idea : DA 4 Sandal (companion) and the God child travelling together against all odds XD.

Well there is a canonical ending now. With Dragon age 2, the introduction of several characters stories being cemented from DA:O and DA:A, there has to be a canonical ending now. For 1. Anders has to have met Justice. 2. Lelianna wasn't killed. Both of which were options in Awakenings/Origins respectively.

I can't tell (i doubt anyone knows for certain) which ending is the 'correct one', but with these additions to DA:2 it limits the options significantly.

the god's baby can be forced like what Bioware did the Mass Effect 2 (Shepard can died but doesn't carry on)
if your warden died, then it's over, story ended aka non cannon ending

Witch hunt is not an ending for the god's baby at all, not even remotely close it just created more question than solving it

Why must the "scary lady" be Flemeth? Morrigan is equally just as scary!

Epiphany. I never thought of that before but it makes so much sense. Flemeth said something about regretting what she had done.

As far as I can remember, in biowares default canons that are available to those who don't import. Not one of them had the Warden surviving through the ritual.

That said something to me about where they were taking it.

Except for the default one - from the Dragon Age Wiki:

"Hero of Ferelden" (Default): A young man from a noble family
rose to become a Grey Warden, then ended the Fifth Blight by killing the
Archdemon himself–-and surviving. He always strove for the greater
good, and placed his friend Alistair on the throne of Ferelden.

Sandal is just a Bioware joke in my opinion, who just says something interesting this time round. 'He' will most likely be the one to end the Blights completely and get rid of whatever is the real cause, whether that be Flemeth or whatever.

Flemeth is Andraste in my opinion. The Maker might be 'He' and that being the link between Flemeth and the major plot, whatever that actually is.

It was in there, and it was creepy, almost as creepy as the old lady. I let the dog sleep with Sandal after that. Also yeah the extended texts tend to pull away from the chantry line, there are 7 archdemons each one is basically one of the seven deadly sins. Tervinter worshipped them in the old days. Me I think the darkspawn were Tervinter slaves altered by blood magic to be mindless shock troops, only the dragons worked through the Tervinter magisters and tricked them into doing it.

So they ended up breading an army that the Archdemons could control to rule the world once more, but that is just my thoughts on that.

I don't think they are the sins. The demons are th embodiment of the 7 deadly sins (but some are combined, like lust and greed into just desrie).

So it's probably Morrigan's kid with Warden, Alistair, Loghain, or someone else. There had to have been a back-up plan and Flemeth seems to think Morrigan's done what needs to be done (according to her resurrection dialogue, I can't quote it directly off memory).

this cant be true cuz they said there is no canonical ending, and my warden never slept with her

They can easily add a mechanical where Morrigan had a plan B to get ahold of the old god's soul, she just prefered the warden not die for various reasons. The dark ritual has serious enough ramifications that it may become canon.

I am guessing that BW goes this route for DA:3. I can't imagine that Morrigan didn't have a Plan B. Otherwise her entire reason for accompanying the warden is null.

since sandal's going to orlais i'm guessing that's where DA3 will be at (can't get enough of that little blighter).

becoming a chevalier or even the emperor/empress would be pretty cool.
it's main theme could be "to rule/ political power" like DA2's main theme was "family".

My theory is that this whole series and all of Dragon Age is actually secretly about Sandal. And yeah, I totally think we'll follow them to Orlais next.

My guess is that Sandal actually isn't at all important and that this was just a bit of comedy on BioWares part. Give him something big and foreboding to say, it might even be true.

Whether the prophecy will happen or not i don't think Sandal will be anything more than your charecters enchantment expert in the series.

I bet he was only in this game because people took a liking to him in the first. I doubt they created him expecting him to be anything majorly important.

Either that or I will live to eat my words come a couple of sequals time.

I agree, I think you're all reading far too much into this :D
It reminds me a lot of Professor Trelawney's prophecy in Harry Potter, i.e. someone whom everyone dismisses as stupid suddenly comes out with a scary prophecy, and has no recollection of saying it. It might just be a throwback to that.

My vote is for Sandal being half dwarf and half human or elf. Elf more likely as he is the only dwarf that has no facial hair at all. This would explain why he was found in the deep roads as unwanted dwarven babies are left there.

keep in mind that even though morrigan did not went to bed with either the warden alistair or lothering she still will have a baby even if we didnt do that devil girl her baby will still play a greater role in the upcoming expansion DLC or whatever Bioware is planning for the game.
