Nothing specific comes to mind , but i usually find that resurrecting squad mates falls in the Tactical blunders category more often than not.

For some reason i keep thinking that this time ,THIS time , they might just go to cover and be useful. But sadly its never the case, Miranda gets up ,hops over the wall , walks across the room, stands on some crates , gets a rocket to the face and is down for the count once more. Perfect genetic specimen my ass ,frankly i think someone spliced in some lemming dna as a joke.

Mind you its worst for some. I've been playing my Vanguard a lot lately and charging in makes it somewhat worst than staying put sniping. Still you're better off with 100 creds.

I like going hand to hand against Krogan in the Grunt recruitment mission. I don't know why, but on that bridge-place, where they are just walking towards you, it's so really attractive. To just punch them to death. On insanity. As an engineer. Yea, I die a lot.

I also thought that I could kill all of the mercs before I disabled the shield and kill Warden Kuril at Jack's recruit mission. I spent forever killing them until I died. Took me many, many tries before I decided to just kill the Warden.

It's possible to kill all the warden's minions, I did it on my soldier.
You just have to be willing to kill 6 or 7 blue suns commanders.

As for my worst blunder, on my infiltrator on horizon where you have to defend the tower, I just sat in the orange truck in the left corner of the plaza-thing and sniped all the collectors, forgetting that they all spawn on the side you entered from. So an assassin lands right next to me and turns me into a puddle with his particle beam.

^ I did exactly the same thing on Horizon, but with the far right hand truck...2 Collectors spawn there, one in the truck and one right behind it...I had made a dive for the truck and found out about those 2 Collectors the hard way :-(. Most of my blunders are caused by either button mashing and so vaulting the cover I was behind right into enemy fire or getting impatient with my Infiltrator and his Widow and running into the thick of things, it may be a brilliant gun, but not when being swarmed.

NG+ Widow Soldier.. Mordin's RM. Activated Hardened AR and rushed some Vorcha for some Widow shotgunning. Only I forgot to reload.

I can't remember my *worst* tactical blunder, only that there have been many.

You've just got to change your strategy to a defensive one to ensure they return and get in a safe position. Or, like it was shown in the very first mission after the Cerberus Facility, use the d-pad to place them in the spot you'd like them to be.

When I get bored and just head rush everything holding down the trigger. It never seems to end well.

"use the d-pad to place them in the spot you'd like them to be."

It only works within a certain radius. If you place your squad mates at the beginning of the map for example, they'll revert to a random path after a few yards (Not sure of the actual distances.) The problem is that vanguards can easily jump beyond that radius making Herp & Derp liabilities.

Moreover the problem seems to be pathing. I was running the disabled collector ship, clearing the room before the last Scion , prior to the husk wave encounter. I got to the top back to take care of the last collector ,Thane was to the right , Miranda the centre and the Scion coming in through the left. I ordered Miranda to move somewhere near Thane as a precautionary measure. She walks right in front of the scion, up to the back , jumps over the divide and the runs to Thane. I'm amazed she didn't get snipped by a Shockwave. Anyway , i digress.

I too, did the orange truck thing on Horizon. I though i was so clever.

Regularly underestimating the durability, range and damage of Pyros/Geth Destroyers with my CQC chars - even after hundreds of hours and countless playthroughs I still occasionally get toasted by those bastards.

My own best tactical blunder was not bringing Grunt onto the Shadow Broker ship when playing as a squishy mage Engineer. Instead I went for double the biotics and got raped like 10 times, usually after getting flanked, before I got smart. That part of the mission is really unforgiving on Insanity.

The number of times on the mission that I would back away from two or three husks, only to find that another two had gone around the other way and were standing behind me, waiting to claw my eyes out.

In my opinion it's one of the easier parts because a) you can just shoot the lightning things all the time and B) let the storm handle the enemies if you get them up into the air, especially with biotics like Pull, Throw, Shockwave...

2nd section of Horizon where the Collectors and Husks come at you together. I took Jacob and Grunt with me, both with maxed fiery ammos thinking that this time I could just sit back and enjoy the wtfbbq fest.

Before dropping down the ledge, I assign both cover positions. I place my self in the middle to attract the husks into my squad's crossfire. I've got my locust and am just lazily spraying at the collectors only to realize: there's no fire to the right or left of me and 3 husks are beating the crap out of my shep.

Neither Grunt nor Jacob came down the ledge and are well behind and around the rocky outcropping. I'm all alone with nothing that can quick strip the armor off now 4 husks rag-dolling my shep so i can drop a singularity or a throw.

Ahh, good times with the autosave feature...what, back at the beginning?!?!?! Guess who's going to be ordered to rush every group of husks now. Stupid squadies. I'm not even going to use any meds, you fall you stay down until i get finished.

Berserker Vanguard was BORN as the love child of 'f**k it, let's Charge' and 'my attention span is too short to sit in cover, COME GET SOME YMIR', my friend. Things you know are bad ideas, but do anyways, are the best ideas.

We do it for science!

Asteroid X57, thinking there was only one rocket drone and charging upstairs, then trying to 'talk' to them as they slept by walking up to them and waking them all up :(

This was back in ME1, on one of those missions in the ubiquitous two-story merc base with the stairs on the left-hand side:

I was just getting to the point where my Shep could mow through enemies and cover wasn't always needed. After clearing out the initial enemy spawns by the entrance, I waded in to the broad middle of the base's big room. I didn't see any red dots on the radar, so I thought I was safe.

Wham... up comes the second spawn set, and I'm already flanked. I started dealing with the ones in front of me when all of a sudden a merc charges from my blindside on the left. I'm taking close-range fire and my shields are down. I thought I was done for when the merc suddenly flew SIDEWAYS and died.

That's when I learned that giving Tali a shotgun with sledgehammer rounds is *always* a good idea. Merc never saw what hit him and I was given just enough breathing room to get to cover and get my shields back up.

My 1st playthrough of Omega-4 was just embarassing. I was such a n00b about everything. I don't think I got a single ship upgrade (bye bye Jack/Thane/Tali).... and ended the game with just Mordin, Miranda and Jacob. Zaeed/Kasumi not downloaded.

CPU Fail -- Jack taking cover behind explosive canisters......  you can imagine how that one turned out.

Usually trying to look good for some video footage, right?

My worst would be using cain trying to wipe the collectors plataform(I DID managed it to work, but it took me about 50 tries to do so :D)

Took Zaeed and Kasumi both pre-LM (first time downloaded as they were DLC) on Mordin's RM thinking Squad Disrupter's and Overload's weapon overheating would adequately deal with krogan and vorcha.

Tried overheating a krogan's shotgun and get in close, the overheat didn't work and yeah I got my ass kicked. Restarted the mission with Miri and Jacob and breezed through it, learnt my lesson.
