I remember the whole time during that scene I was looking for the:

Cut off each of Ander's limbs (starting with each finger joint), slowly, one at a time until he dies of blood loss.

Option.

Never killed him. I try to redeem him. Look at these links and tell me that he's still a terrorist:

He is still a terrorist, without a doubt.

A terrorist is defined by their actions, not their afterthoughts.

I don't care that Anders felt bad afterwards.  He blew up the Chantry, started a war that would spread across Thedas, and possibly caused millions of deaths.

Indeed.

But he may have also helped change the world for the better.

We just have to see.

And again we don't know what'll happen when the ashes settle. Unless you care to tell me the plot of DA3 and the rest of the future DA games?

Sometimes you need to break some eggs to make omelets.

War isn't a pretty thing. But there are several wars that changed things for the better.

You also need someone who knows how to make an omelet in the first place and not just smash eggs into a wall and expect them to become omelets by themselves.

For some but here we are with the only ones who really gain anything are the minority who are the mages while the rest of thedas stands to lose a lot from a war.

I've never killed Anders and always supported his ideas. For all my Hawkes and for me he is a hero: he struggled alone trying to change the world full of injustice and succeeded in it.

That's just beautiful.  "It's okay if a minority is abused and oppressed because they're not the majority."

<3 Anders.  I just hope DA3 is in Orlais so I can torch the Chantry in Val Royeaux personally.

I just wish you could let him live - I'd never kill him - but still punch him in the face. I hope there will be a way of ridding him of Justice / Vengeance in the future... but I still want to hit him.

#$%^! Anders!

NOTE: I've also sided with the mages each time.

This how I felt. Anders drove me crazy during this scene acting so pleased with himself, he really just needed a sock to the teeth followed by a thorough berating.  Since that was not an option, I killed him.
I feel the execution could have used some options.  I would have liked to left Anders fate to Sebastian, who for all his talk probably would have chickened out, or Fenris ,who I imagine would have been more than willing to rip out Ander's heart.
It feels strange saying this considering Anders was my favorite Awakening companion.

I also killed Anders. He was my favourite character in DAOA, and it pained me to see him so broken up in DA2. While I did think he was misguided, I didn't think he was dangerous. I never saw the terrorist act coming, although I probably should have. That moment was the only time I was genuinely surprised while playing a Dragon Age game.

Ok I know this forum allows spoilers but not in the title surely? Your "Did anyone else kill Anders?" appears on the main forum index page (where it lists all the forums including the ones that do not allow spoilers) if this thread has the most recent comment. The title alone is a spoiler even to those of us not visiting any of the 'spoiler allowed' forums. Less spoiler titles please.

I could never bring myself to stab him in the back for what he did, it felt cheap to me. If it were a fight to the death then I would go for it. Also, I believe letting him live with killing all those people is real justice and not vengeance is the best way to honor Elthina's memory unlike that self righteous ****** Sebastian who would rather destroy all of Kirkwall just to see one man die! Good thing I can remove him out of my game, he's just not worth having around.

Oh, it's not that strange, I felt very much the same - except that I would never kill him. I just wished there was an option to say #$%^! Anders!
Something tells me though that even if you let him live, he'll not be pleased with himself forever. And Sebastian, well, I don't have him, since I feel he's everything I don't want in my party.

Stupid Justice. Now, if there's anyone I'd like to punch in the face...

Was pro-mage through the entire game, then anders had his retard moment, sided with templars, let him go, smeared him across the walls of the templar hall later

I sure did. Every. Single. Time. This to me almost seemed like the reward for putting up with his whining/hypocrisy the entire game. What can I say, I like the little things.

I never kill Anders regardless of what Hawke I´m playing, due to my dissatisfaction with how it´s handled in-game.
Something I´ve already whined about here: http://social.biowar...4/index/6916929 .

I prefer to spare him there and then imagine Hawke killing him later or not as appropriate.

In both games I've played a mostly merciful and kind character but ended up killing the person in the final "kill or don't kill" dilemma. I just couldn't let Loghain and Anders live after their crimes, despite how much I liked them. Both of them seemed to accept death pretty well anyway, like they thought they deserved it.

I've played 7 times now and Anders the psychopath has died in every game of mine. Nothing he could say or do in retrospect was worth pouring gasoline on smouldering embers.

I sided with the mages in my first 3 games, then decided that the templars (and not meredith) had the better argument, since every flippin mage in Kirkwall seemed to dabble in Blood Magic. (If I could have smote Merrill for being an idiot in that regard, I would have as well.)

He didn't just smash them into a wall. More like threw them all into a bowl.

There's shells everywhere but only time'll tell if you can cook with that (if you bother getting all the shells out) or it'll be thrown out.
