I got the impression that he wanted to die. I think he decided that what he was doing was necessary and he was ready to face the consequences.

So I killed him for the sake of his honer. I'd of let him and Sebastien sort things out if I could

No, but now I can I might even though we're sort of intimate. Gives me a reason to go back after isabella. Theres just some things you dont do before you cross the line and become something you're crusading against.

I killed him. I didn't like anders one bit, did one quest for him and he completely sucks. I set his tactics and he still failed to heal any party member, himself via spells or potions, or raise anyone who was dead when I set the proper tactic. Plus, he's a little cry baby who has to blow crap up and kill people because he can't stick up for himself in person. Merril and bethany are so much better. Damn right I killed him and was glad to.

Of course I did! That little weasel is such a backstabber. How could he do that to a friend? I knew something was up but I kept hoping he'd see reason in whatever he was planning to do. But nothing. People who behave like animals deserve to be put down like ones. I only wish I could've revied him so I could kill him again. He needs to be killed at least 3 more times for this kind of betrayal.

Same here. I had to kill Anders, my Hawke trusted him yet he betrayed me by killing possibly hundreds of innocent people.

My Hawke was a neutral character who was trying to protect the mages without resorting to all out war.

I killed him ... and I think he deserved it. What he did was stupid and irrational and I just ... he completely confirmed the people's fear that mages are dangerous ... congratulations Anders, you failed at your own task

Whats worst is that Anders saw Templars and Mages working together in "Best served Cold" yet he still choose to blow up the Chantry without a second thought.

My Hawke was working with the nobels  to try and get rid of Meredith. After all that work what does Anders do? He blows up the Chantry!  Yeah Anders  I'm sure killing one of the most beloved people in Kirkwall with Magic will really make the Mages look good in the people's eyes.

I let him live on the same basis I let Loghain live - making him help reverse his crime is better in the long run. Unfortunately the game took this as me condoning his actions, and I was given no option to knock some teeth out.

My decision to murder dagger him was made easier by Bethany rejoining the party, which gave me an alternative mage who had a healing spell. If she was dead I probably would have let him live.

i killed anders for killing that sweet old lady and because i wanted the future ruler of starkhaven on my side. i played pro-mage all throughout the game and when i had to choose between the mages and templars, i picked the templars to become viscount and hopefully control the templars. the game ends shortly after that so it doesn't show how i would rule. bethany also survived even though i sided w/ the templars

I let anders join me because every man is needed in the fight, and the Right of Annulment is wrong, and couldn't even be invoked alone by a knight commander in the first place. For Sebastian, well, I just hope that he does think it over and dismisses it, otherwise, bring it on.  My goal was just to stop the Right of Annulment, but didn't expect to start a religion war.

killed anders for killing the grand cleric for two reasons: i liked the grand cleric and i wanted the future ruler of starkhaven on my side. i was pro-mage all throughout the game and anders had to go and do that... sided w/ the templars, not because i was anti-mage after the anders' incident, but because i felt that i could exert more influence over the templars once i got rid of meredith - i really wanted to knife her throughout my many encounters w/ her...that itch.

I didn't kill him on my last run, due to him being my healbot and it being nonsensical to do so character wise. This was on my rogue - my warrior and mage will both kill him.

Killed him. I've got zero tolerance for murder and warmongering. My Hawke was forced to side with the mages - to protect his sister - but if it wasn't for her I'd have helped the templars without regret to save the rest of the world from chaos. The Right of Annulment is cruel, but first things first. The cleanest solution probably would have been to annihilate both the templars who stand with Meredith and all mages that try to run off and tell the tale...

I'm not surprised a man would take drastic measures to put an end to slavery. The Chantry enslaved mages for almost a thousand years, and Anders' actions allow for every man, woman, and child of the Circle to no longer worry about the templars ruling over them - they don't have to fear getting raped, tortured, given a lobotomy, or killed because of Anders. His actions lead to the end of slavery.

Really?  Then he should have blown up the Gallows.  Not the Chantry and a bunch of innocent people.  That's terrorism, IMO.

I see him as an emancipator of mages. An abolitionist. He destroyed the building of an organization that enslaved mages for nearly a thousand years. You're welcome to disagree, of course. Anders is the new Loghain, apparently.
